What are your experiences of life? In this compilation of poetry written over a span of twenty years, the author takes you on an adventure --- one that is easily relatable to your own. Her own experience of awakening to joy and bliss, and connection with all of humanity, is expressed through her poems. We see that we are not all that different as human beings, even though our circumstances may be. In some ways, we are all still children at heart. Her words are at times playful and joyous; curious about life and our surroundings; and looking to what makes us who we are. The poems have a simplicity about them yet allow the reader to experience something beyond the surface and the words. They allow us to connect with all of mankind.

From the first Police album, Outlandos D'Amour, through Sacred Love, here are the collected lyrics written by Sting, along with his commentary. “Publishing my lyrics separately from their musical accompaniment is something that I’ve studiously avoided until now. The two, lyrics and music, have always been mutually dependent, in much the same way as a mannequin and a set of clothes are dependent on each other; separate them, and what remains is a naked dummy and a pile of cloth. Nevertheless, the exercise has been an interesting one, seeing perhaps for the first time how successfully the lyrics survive on their own, and inviting the question as to whether song lyrics are in fact poetry or something else entirely. And while I’ve never seriously described myself as a poet, the book in your hands, devoid as it is of any musical notation, looks suspiciously like a book of poems. So it seems I am entering, with some trepidation, the unadorned realm of the poet. I have set out my compositions in the sequence they were written and provided a little background when I thought it might be illuminating. My wares have neither been sorted nor dressed in clothes that do not belong to them; indeed, they have been shorn of the very garments that gave them their shape in the first place. No doubt some of them will perish in the cold cruelty of this new environment, and yet others may prove more resilient and become perhaps more beautiful in their naked state. I can’t predict the outcome, but I have taken this risk knowingly and, while no one in their right mind should ever attempt to set “The Waste Land” to music, in the hopeful words of T. S. Eliot, These fragments I have shored against my ruins.” —Sting, from the Introduction

A wife may be courted, too. . . Many would count Katherine Douglas fortunate indeed. Laird William Douglas is broad-shouldered, gentle-handed, everything a lass could dream. But after four years of marriage, Katherine still knows little of what goes on in his heart. And she has yet to bear him an heir. The distance between them is too great--and so she flees over the snowy highlands to Glengarry Castle, home of her childhood, to set her husband free. But William won't let his wife slip away without a fight. Before long, he's at her father's threshold himself, witness to the rumbles of discontent in Glengarry, the bright joy of Yuletide at a family hearth, and the hidden needs of his own beloved. . . #1 New York Times bestselling author Nora Roberts presents four romantic stories of impossible dreams come true... In Nora Roberts’s “In Dreams,” a beautiful young woman is drawn to a castle in the forests of Ireland and becomes the link to a stranger’s past—and the curse that has trapped him forever in the eternity of his own dreams. In Jill Gregory’s “The Sorcerer’s Daughter,” the fate of a captive wizard depends on his lovely daughter—and the intentions of a spellcast adventurer who dreams of a priceless treasure, and a love that could be the greatest reward of all. In Ruth Ryan Langan’s “The Enchantment,” two strangers seek refuge in an abandoned estate on a storm-swept night—only to discover that their most elusive dreams of romance are as enchanted, and as real, as true love itself. In Marianne Willman’s “The Bridge of Sighs,” an American art appraiser becomes haunted by dreams of a lonely young girl while visiting Venice—a vision that illuminates a tragic past, and a future of endless love.

A modern, feel-good fairy tale about a woman determined to realize her dreams and the unexpected prince charming who helps her. Summer Welles wants the fairy tale. The illegitimate daughter of Reginald Summerhill, the Earl of Amberlin, she listened to her mother's stories about the Summerhill girls all her life. In her mind, Summer was part of the stories too—living in the castle, wearing fancy dresses, and falling in love with Prince Charming. Her wish came true. Mostly. She lives in the Summerhill mansion. She has stepsisters—nice ones who don't make her clean the chimney. She even has a magical wedding dress waiting for her special day. The only thing missing is the prince. What Summer didn't count on was mistaking a masked frog for her prince. But once she kisses the mysterious man, he won't go away. And he's not charming or princely—he's more interested in ravishing her rather than riding off into the sunset. With her fairy tale at stake, Summer's faced with her own quest: sacrifice her Happily Ever After, or turn her back on the one man who makes her feel alive?
