❤A stranger rescues her, then disappears when she needs him most. Until he knocks on her door, years later and half a world away... ❤ On assignment in distant Santa Estella, hardheaded journalist Kendra Jenner finds herself in the middle of a vicious hurricane . . . and unexpectedly in the arms of a stranger who speaks virtually no English. Fear leads to passion that months later leads to a baby, which Kendra fully expects to raise on her own, since her search for the father is a fruitless one. Three years later, "Paulo" shows up at her Wyoming home, speaking perfect English and identifying himself as Daniel Delligati. He says he's come for his son -- and for her. Can they have a second chance at love ... when they never had a first chance? "Two of the most determined characters you'll ever meet, both of whom want only what is right, and best, for the little boy conceived out of what was perhaps only a desperate affirmation of life in a life-threatening situation ... or perhaps the beginning of a love that runs deeper than fear and self-doubt and recriminations. Daniel is a hero to die for." -- 5* Far Hills Ranch has bound together the Susland family for nearly a century and a half. For just as long, there's been a legend that the ranch and its family are cursed. Now, says the legend, the current generation is the last with a chance to break the curse. Jemma Macera is a poet, author, and social activist living in Ithaca, New York. Her story reflects a first half of life with challenges that contributed to physical and emotional pain, and resulting symptoms of dementia in the second half of her life. Living in Ithaca provided her with ample alternative therapists and a supportive community that enabled her to find a healing path. Jemma attributes her high level of functionality to following the shaman's journey to wellness through singing, dancing, and storytelling, as well as to the generosity of many friends and healers. Her journey to wellness is the result of trusting the superior wisdom of the body and the unconscious mind over a disabled brain. Jemma lives with her life partner Walter, in her family home, and continues to enjoy square dancing, music, and singing with friends.

Now Russell Olsen’s best-selling collections featuring Route 66 filling stations, main streets, motor courts, cafés, campgrounds, honky-tonks, truck stops, and barbecue joints as they appeared both in their heyday and today is available in one package. For more than 30 years, Route 66 was America’s main east-west artery, pointing the nation toward all the promise that California represented. To serve these travelers, Route 66 boasted bustling commercial hubs, many of which remain today, many more of which crumbled long ago. All of the sites included here—150 in all—are shown both during their mid-century heydays and as they appear today. Taken together, the marvelous visual and descriptive elements assembled here—period postcards and imagery, specially commissioned maps, and Olsen’s own photography and capsule histories of the sites featured—comprise a unique, state-by-state look back at America’s Main Street.

"What happens when an adoptive daughter finds love for her estranged biological parents? Find out in this first Family Renewal title by Sheri WhiteFeather. . . Reuniting with her daughter was a dream come true for Victoria Allen, but when Kaley wanted to meet her father--well, all bets were off. She would not, could not, allow the older and undoubtedly sexier Ryan to get under her skin. But how could she deny their child a chance to know the man who'd once captured her own heart? When Ryan Nash opened the door to find his first love--and their child!--on his doorstep, he was surprised to find his feelings for Victoria were stronger than ever. He now had the chance of a lifetime to right the wrongs of the past. And maybe, in the process, build a family for the future..." --Publisher description.

“[The] text and photos make this . . . more than a pretty coffee-table book, Route 66 aficionados will want to add this descriptive tome to their collections.” —Ruidoso News (New Mexico) Much more than a ribbon of crumbling asphalt, Route 66 is a cultural icon revered the world over for its nostalgic value—an east-west artery pointing America toward all the promise that the great West represented. But as stretches of Steinbeck’s “Mother Road” were bypassed and fell into disuse, so too did most of the bustling establishments that had sprouted up from Illinois to California to cater to weary travelers and hopeful vacationers alike. Motor courts, cafes, main streets, filling stations, and greasy spoons—all are represented in this second volume of Lost & Found images from photographer Russell Olsen. As with its predecessor, Route 66 Lost & Found (2004), this new installment presents dozens of locations along Route 66’s entire 2,297 miles, showing them both as in their heydays in period photographs and postcards and as they appear today. Each site is accompanied by a capsule history tracing the locale’s rise and fall (and sometimes rebirth), as well as an exclusive map pointing out its location along Route 66. “Author Russell Olson has unearthed old photos and postcards of various buildings, landmarks and towns which he carefully researches and then rediscovers and takes pictures of them as they are today.” —Auto Aficionado “I could barely put this down.” —Daily Express (UK) “A good read for fans of roadside architecture.” —Classic and Sports Car (UK)

Bella - I've been ducking my past for years, and my world flipped upside down the day Bruce invited me for lunch. Drowning in desire and thirst to be happy has become my torture, and the only way I could get out of it all was to flee. Yet, I learned my willpower ran its clock against me after Bruce's unnecessary lecture. I rebelled against my rule book when an overbearing playboy learned how to read me. He demolished my fortress and clawed his way to its base - my core. This domineering player is an uncontrollable and angry man. I wonder if this man even knows other words rather than fun and women... Xander - My spectacular life is snipped short by a crazy chick with a big sack of attitude. She dares me to open her closet with one giant skeleton. In return, I have to unlock the gates of Hell and face my own demons because I can't ditch my hunger for her. Though, I have another option - confine myself and burn for eternity. Then, one night I dream, and the human form whispers: "....lost....found", before disappearing into thin air with all the lights around it, forcing me to shut my eyes. It's a vision I can't get out of my head. I must be hallucinating! It's not real! None of this is real! Are you one of those people who always think about yourself and hold a selfish attitude? This book series "The Kingdom of Love" gives a brief insight into our lives, how we learn our lesson, how we cope and adapt, and how we prosper in life in general.

This book is full of love of history and family. There are 8 contributors from many cities and countries, whose stories reflect the social and political upheavals of the previous century. There are snapshot portraits painted of people going back 16 generations. The first is David Mitzkun, circa 1580 from Lithuania. The family tree was translated from Hebrew by a genealogist who created a descendants report with most of the names and dates of these 16 generations. The youngest is a toddler in the newest generation. There are photos from the 19th, 20th, and 21st centuries as well as historical documents. Included in the book is the story of recovery of the tree drawn by the authors great grandfather and family members who found one and other as result. This wonderful story has been televised as well as printed as a front page article of a New Jersey newspaper in 2014.
