This is a story pertaining to youth education that could be applied to current educational studies. The goal of this educational addition is to involve our youth in identifying problems in our government, where changes was from what our Founding Fathers originally established in our Constitution, Bill of Rights, and other signed documents. Our Founding Fathers also warned the people voting will determine our government and if the people vote into our government the people, who want to make changes to our original documents. This could change our way of living and also remove God from our government. History has shown us that no other country has been created where people can control government like the United States of America. This is the heart of this story revealing what and why America has made such changes since first becoming a Nation. Many hours of research and investigations has been devoted to this story to indicate changes in our government and our way of living. If our youth are involved in learning the history of America and determining why today our rules, laws and regulations are different from originally assigned rules, laws and regulations. This gives our youth the opportunity, as they mature, to correct what is happening to our country. This includes restoring America back to a Christian Nation as originally created. Remember history tells us that our Christian founding fathers used the Bible and through prayer in creating all of the documents to govern and instruct each of us how we should live. They also provide a way for other people to come and live their private lives as long as they obey America's laws and rules. As the author of this story I was born in 1932, lived through some of the great 1929 to 1941 depression, World War II, served overseas in the Army. Restoring America's Soul lays out a clear, concise and inspired vision of what made America such an exceptional nation and how we can get there again. Today's culture derides and dismisses the traditional, time-proven values that made America great--so-called conservative values. Liberal professors, the mainstream news media, and the Hollywood propaganda machine are brainwashing the nation's youth, convincing them that conservativism--the values once held by most of America--amounts to hateful extremism. Nothing could be further from the truth. The true heart of conservatism is its desire to conserve the timeless principles worthy of being kept and to pursue virtue through disciplined self-governance. Too many modern conservatives have lost sight of the transcendent goals that made America great and stand out from the rest of the world. Restoring America's Soul reignites the vision and mission of authentic conservatism and equips busy people to make a fresh and persuasive case for conservative public policy positions on specific key issues. Restoring America's Soul examines conservative's current identity crisis and how it has undermined their effectiveness in attracting citizens and motivating them to become both informed and politically active. Contrasting the popular perceptions of the two major parties, Dunaway urges conservatives to focus more energy on telling others what they support than what they oppose. She reminds conservatives of their noble roots, affirming their ideological alignment with the Founding Fathers' biblical plan for a limited federal government. Rather than solely opposing liberal-left policies, Restoring America's Soul offers genuine solutions to today's multiple crises. Refreshingly, Dunaway suggests an enlightened course forward for the thoughtful conservative.

A healthy and united America--perhaps a country more united than it has ever been--is truly possible, and it starts with us. John Kingston draws on wisdom from history, science, faith, and culture, along with his own experiences, to offer eight principles for discovering purpose, meaning, and true community. We live in the greatest peace and prosperity that the world has ever known, but Americans are feeling more division, isolation, depression, and despair than ever before. These are issues of the soul. We seem unable to find purpose and meaning. We can't find "the life that is truly life"--a vibrant and purpose-filled way of living best experienced together. From his youth, Kingston has always carried a vision for a free and united America. With an approachable and conversational style, as well as a dash of humor, Kingston draws on a diverse and compelling collection of wisdom--the parables of the Bible and the philosophy of Aristotle, the legacy of Nelson Mandela and the speeches of Abraham Lincoln, the songs of Bruce Springsteen and current studies from the best neuro and social scientists today--to remind us that there is no "them," there is only us, and we're in this together. In American Awakening, Kingston offers eight timeless principles for breaking through this darkness and despair and cultivating a radical togetherness, both here in this country and around the globe. You'll discover the profound impact of: In-person connection Making more from less Discovering purpose Redeeming adversity Responding instead of reacting Finding your unique sense of belonging Wherever you find yourself politically or spiritually, a healthy and united America starts with you. Join the Awakening movement and let's rediscover who we are--together.

The promise of America is that, with ambition and hard work, anyone can rise to the top. But now the promise has been broken, and we’ve become an aristocracy where rich parents raise rich kids and poor parents raise poor kids. We’ve been told that the changes are structural, that there’s nothing we can do about this. But that doesn’t explain why other First World countries are beating us hands down on the issue of mobility. What's different about America is our politics. An ostensibly progressive New Class of comfortably rich professionals, media leaders, and academics has shaped the contours of American politics and given us a country of fixed economic classes. It is supported by the poorest of Americans, who have little chance to rise, an alliance of both ends against the middle that recalls the Red Tories of parliamentary countries. Because they support an aristocracy, the members of the New Class are Tories, and because of their feigned concern for the poor, they are Red Tories. The Way Back explains the revolution in American politics, where political insurgents have challenged the complacent establishment of both parties, and shows how we can restore the promise of economic mobility and equality by pursuing socialist ends through capitalist means.

In this landmark volume, Greg J. Duncan and Richard J. Murnane lay out a meticulously researched case showing how—in a time of spiraling inequality—strategically targeted interventions and supports can help schools significantly improve the life chances of low-income children. The authors offer a brilliant synthesis of recent research on inequality and its effects on families, children, and schools. They describe the interplay of social and economic factors that has made it increasingly hard for schools to counteract the effects of inequality and that has created a widening wedge between low- and high-income students. Restoring Opportunity provides detailed portraits of proven initiatives that are transforming the lives of low-income children from prekindergarten through high school. All of these programs are research-tested and have demonstrated sustained effectiveness over time and at significant scale. Together, they offer a powerful vision of what good instruction in effective schools can look like. The authors conclude by outlining the elements of a new agenda for education reform. Restoring Opportunity is a crowning contribution from these two leading economists in the field of education and a passionate call to action on behalf of the young people on whom our nation’s future depends. "I don't take responsibility at all." Those words of Donald Trump at a March 13, 2020, press conference are likely to be history's epitaph on his presidency. A huge swath of Americans has put their faith in Trump, and Trump only, because they see the rest of the country building a future that doesn’t have a place for them. If they would risk their lives for Trump in a pandemic, they will certainly risk the stability of American democracy. They brought the Trumpocalypse upon the country, and a post-Trumpocalypse country will have to find a way either to reconcile them to democracy - or to protect democracy from them. In Trumpocalypse, David Frum looks at what happens when a third of the electorate refuses to abandon Donald Trump, no matter what he does. Those voters aren’t looking for policy wins. They’re seeking cultural revenge. It is not enough to defeat Donald Trump on election day 2020. Even if Trump peacefully departs office, the trauma he inflicted will distort American and world politics for years to come. Americans must start from where they are, build from what they have, to repair the damage Trump inflicted on the country, to amend the wrongs that, under Trump, they inflicted upon each other. Americans can do better. David Frum shows how—and inspires all readers of all points of view to believe again in the possibilities of American life. Trumpocalypse is both a warning of danger and a guide to reform that will be read and discussed for years to come.
