Cole Day isn't looking forward to breakfast. Mum has made 'Prune Surprise', and even Jeff the dog can only eat one helping of that before things start to get windy. But not all the gusts are coming from the poor pooch's tum. The hurricane hag herself, Gail Force, has blown into town, and she's using a new device called the Superfan to raid homes, shops and - eventually - the bank! It's time for Snow-Man and his team to breeze into action! Aimed at 9-12 year olds, each story in the Snow-Man series has a low reading age of 7-8, combining accessible language with exciting and witty plotlines that are appropriate to the age of the reader. This series has been created by popular author of comic stories for reluctant readers, Tommy Donbavand. It follows a not-so-ordinary boy called Cole Day and the various adventures of his chilly superhero alter ego, Snow-Man, plus sidekicks Thin Ice and Frostbite. Readers are sure to be entertained by the storylines in this series, as well as the array of ingenious villains such as Ray Burn, Gail Force and Chuck Ingit-Down. As always, the aim of these books is to draw and hold the attention of reluctant readers, in order to inspire confidence and to ensure that the reading experience is a positive and fun one.

The honest, entertaining and brilliantly relatable Sunday Times bestseller. Kate Lawler has never been maternal. And yet here she is: mother to Noa, after years of going back and forth about having children at all. This is the story of her journey from parentally undecided to early motherhood, via raging hormones, sleepless nights, emergency hospital trips, mum guilt, unspoken regrets and post-natal depression. This book is not a parenting manual. It won't tell you what to pack in your hospital bag, or how to get your baby to sleep. It may not help you with feeding or dealing with tantrums. But it will show you that you're not alone - and that it's perfectly possible, and maybe even normal, to love your child with all of your heart while also feeling lost, alone and resentful. Whether you're an expectant parent, a new parent, firmly in the thick of it, or still parentally undecided, this book is for you, as Kate writes honestly and hilariously about the ups and downs of pregnancy, birth and early parenting, as well as the impact of a new baby on relationships, your sense of self and everything in between. It's a book that, with Kate's usual candour and wit, will help mums and dads everywhere feel seen - and completely understood. 'Wow what a read! I love it. Kate's honest, open, funny account of motherhood with all its highs and lows is a breath of fresh air and relatable for so many.' Gemma Atkinson 'Honest, brave and relatable mixed with humour. Kate, you've nailed it. Whether you are an expectant parent or simply not sure, Maybe Baby will give you tears and laughter - both in equal measures!' Frankie Bridge 'Maybe Baby is beautifully honest, open and brilliant. Full of humorous anecdotes, Kate has written a book for the EVERY-woman - those wanting children, those not, and those who are indecisively on the fence about the whole thing. Kate sharing her experiences, especially with PND, will help open up important conversations and support so many going through a similar situation.' Giovanna Fletcher 'This isn't just another mum book. Raw, honest, brutally funny, Kate has nailed the highs, lows, peaks and troughs of this rollercoaster of a parental ride.' Anna Whitehouse

Soda Pop is a story about a pony and the children who owned her. The pony begins life with Mya, a young girl, on a large ranch owned by her grandparents. Mya begins training Tinkerbell, as the pony is known, within days. Her Uncle Rusty helps her with the training from the outset. When Myas grandfather dies suddenly, the family decides to shut down the ranch. Rusty sells off the stock, and by mistake, friends take Tinkerbell to the auction. Tony works for his father as a trainer at a horse trading stable. He works with Windy, as he calls the pony, and soon has her jumping. Tony falls in love with the pony, but his father sells Windy to a colonel from Fort Sam Houston. The colonels son, Clayton Jr., wants nothing to do with the pony. He never even names her. On the first day of him riding her, Clayton Jr. falls off, and Clayton Sr. orders her to be sold for dog meat. Instead of selling her, Hank, a stable hand takes her to his niece near Junction. There, Sarah calls her Jasmine and uses her to herd goats. A major flood takes Jasmine away. Soda Pop ends up in another auction and is bought by Teresa for her son Joshua. This is to be her forever home, and Mya, from the first of the story, is the vet who takes care of her.
