“Papa Goose is destined to become a classic. This book has everything in it I love: great animals beautifully portrayed as individuals; cool science; drama, discovery, and personal transformation.” —Sy Montgomery, author of Birdology and The Soul of An Octopus The charming true story of one man’s journey to raise seven goslings in the name of science. In Papa Goose, Michael Quetting shares the hilarious and moving true story of how he became a father to seven rambunctious goslings—and the surprising things he learned along the way. Starting right at the beginning, with the eggs, his journey takes him from the incubator all the way to the airstrip, where he must attempt to teach the geese to fly as part of an ambitious scientific research initiative for the Max Planck Institute for Ornithology, which tracks animal migrations around the world. For the next eleven months, we follow the newly minted dad as he takes the goslings on daily swims in the lake, tracks them down when they go astray, and watches their personalities develop: feisty, churlish, and lovable. Packed with charm and humor, Papa Goose quickly draws us into the adventure as Gloria, Nemo, and the rest of the crew conquer land, water, and air.

A sweet rhyming picture book that reminds young readers that to make their dreams come true, "a spoonful of faith is all it takes!" from debut author-illustrator Jena Holliday. Layla wakes up nervous to go to her new school, so she looks to Mama to help her feel better. The mother and daughter duo head to the kitchen and combine all the necessary ingredients--kindness, hope, warm hugs, and prayers--to create a new tradition of confidence and happiness. Written and illustrated by Jena Holliday, this tender picture book serves as a boosting reminder to trust in God, to have faith, but most importantly, to believe in your ability to turn a bad day around. A fun metaphor for transforming your mood, A Spoonful of Faith is Jena's playful rendition of turning comfort food into soul food. An encouraging and hopeful picture book, perfect for anyone nervous about activities such as going back to school.

HOW DID I BECOME A PILOT FOR ONE OF THE WORLD'S MOST INFAMOUS AIRLINES? "This book is the first of a three part trilogy based on my experience as a bush pilot flying for Susi Air in Indonesia. For 4 years I’ve flown Cessna Grand Caravans in one of the most challenging environments for aviation in the world. This book features the good stories, the bad stories, and the down right unbelievable stories. I must confess, I’ve spent a very long time deciding whether or not to publish this book. Here’s the thing…I’m now a Boeing 737 Captain for a major European airline, and unsurprisingly, I value my career very much. So publishing a book about these bush flying adventures (and occasional mishaps), isn’t necessarily going to impress my current employers...or future employers for that matter. You could perhaps describe publishing this book as “career suicide”. This somewhat undesirable situation of losing one’s career, might just explain why I’m the first Susi Air pilot to publish a book like this. Yes, the sensible thing to do would be to keep my mouth shut. Just stay under the radar and avoid any adverse consequences to the career that I have worked so hard to get. But how could I keep the greatest adventure of my life to myself? I needed to write this book. This isn’t just my story. This is the story of every pilot who was f*cking nuts enough to come fly for Susi Air. Needless to say, the real identities of both myself and my colleagues at Susi Air will remain anonymous in this book. I have no doubt that some Susi Air pilots, both past and present, will know exactly who I really am. However to any of those pilots reading this book, I do ask that you keep my real identity private, much in the same way that I have kept your real identities private in this book. All of the stories in this book are real. Only the names have been changed."
