We do have an instruction manual for running this country and handling these problems we face; we need only to return to the instructions contained in it. What is this instruction manual? Why don't our leaders follow its guidance? This instruction manual is the original owner's guide we were given when our nation was new. That set of instructions is our beloved Constitution and its associated Bill of Rights. If we would but return to its precepts and abide the regulations contained therein, all of our questions could be answered. We would all do well to study the Constitution and the Bill of Rights and pressure our leaders into returning to its values and principles. I am not a politician nor am I formally trained in politics. I am a regular citizen with regular problems and concerns and desires for this great nation. I don't think it takes an expert to realize the problems we are having and it certainly doesn't take an expert to know that "When all else fails...read the instructions"

Download When You're a Christian...The Whole World Is From Missouri - with Leaders Guide Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
James W. Moore says that just as Missouri is the "Show Me" state, this is a "show me" world, where talking a good game is not enough. Essentially, the world says to us, "If you're a Christian, then show me!" Moore contends that we, as Christians, must show the world that our faith is not only a way of believing but also a way of behaving - that it is not just something we celebrate on Sunday, but something we live out in the world every day. In his warm, conversational style Moore explores characteristics that must be visible in our daily lives if we are to be effective witnesses in this "show me" world - forgiveness, dedication, gratitude, love, compassion, a spirit of service, perseverance, strength, faith and vision. Only when these are evident in our lives will the world know that we are Christians.

Download Is There Life After Stress with Leaders Guide Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Why is it, James Moore asks, that we try to justify anything and everything we want to do? We use words, scapegoats, blaming other people, circumstances, past events, even evil spirits ("the devil made me do it!") to attempt to excuse bad choices we make with our own free will. What does the Christian faith have to say about all this? The author reminds us of what our faith tells us about excuses: first, that God sees through them; second, that God is more interested in forgiving us than in hearing our excuses; third, that God wants penitence - not excuses - from us. In his warm, embracing style, James Moore encourages us to seek forgiveness. After all, we are justified, not by our eloquent excuses but by the grace of a loving, caring, forgiving God.

We all know the feeling. We take a leap, only to land flat on our face. Just when our plan appears to be perfect, it falls apart. Life’s failures and disappointments can make it difficult to move forward; how do we pick ourselves up and dust ourselves off? Matt Miofsky examines the life of Jeremiah, whose failed pursuits are described in more detail and depth than any other prophet. Even though God set him apart to speak to the nation of Israel, Jeremiah’s attempts to fulfill his calling were met with ridicule, punishment, and suffering. But through it all, God never left his side. The story of “the weeping prophet” has much to teach us about trusting God during life’s most trying times. The Leader Guide contains everything needed to guide a group through the five-week study including session plans, activities, and discussion questions, as well as multiple format options.
