Weyerhaeuser Export Facility Construction At Dupont PDF Download

Weyerhaeuser Company proposes to construct and operate a 250-acre export facility within the City of DuPont, WA to ship forest products from manufacturing and wood operations in western Washington to offshore markets. In 1976, Weyerhaseuser purchased a 3,200-acre site for this purpose. The E.I. DuPont de Nemours and Company used this site for the manufacture and ocean shipping of commercial explosives since 1909. Construction and operation of the proposed export facility would have a variety of adverse and beneficial impact. In general, impacts on the physical environment would be adverse, whereas impacts on the socioeconomic environment would be both beneficial and adverse. Many adverse impacts would be mitigated.
