Archibald Wade was born 14 March 1782 in Bedford County, Virginia. He married Nancy Weeks (1786-1860), daughter of Alderson Weeks and Jane, in 1803. They had fourteen children.

Richard Wade was born in Goochland Co., Virginia, in 1752. He married Judith Handcock in 1772 in Goochland Co. They moved to Bedford Co. during and while serving in the Revolutionary War. After the War he settled his family at Boonesboro, Madison County, Kentucky. They had seven children. Their son, Joseeph, was born in 1785 in in Madison County, Kentucky. He and his wife, Henrietta Nelson, were the parents of five children.
