Keeping the love in your marriage requires skills that most of us have not been taught in school or at home. Many people think that the secret to marriage is FINDING the love of your life. Of greater importance is KEEPING the love in your life from that moment on. This book's premise is that love, like self-esteem, doesn't go away; it just gets blocked by negative experiences, comments and beliefs that make the love difficult to feel. When we learn how to remove those obstacles, to let go of the past, to move beyond our egos to the heart of the matter and align our actions with our goals, we can reawaken the love and keep our marriage growing. HOW TO LOVE YOUR MARRIAGE provides: ** Methods for solving problems and being your own best relationship advisor ** Empowering "How to" steps to take even if your partner is not willing to take them with you ** Simple "Love Tips" that you can use immediately ** The EROS formula for creating powerful, loving relationships ** Tools for managing your emotions -- and those of your spouse ** An understanding of self-esteem's impact on a relationship and a relationship's impact on self-esteem ** Self-directed exercises and questions

Text-based interaction among humans connected via computer networks, such as takes place via email and in synchronous modes such as chat, MUDs and MOOs, has attracted considerable popular and scholarly attention. This collection of 14 articles on text-based computer-mediated communication (CMC), is the first to bring empirical evidence from a variety of disciplinary perspectives to bear on questions raised by the new medium. The first section, linguistic perspectives, addresses the question of how CMC compares with speaking and writing, and describes its unique structural characteristics. Section two, on social and ethical perspectives, explores conflicts between the interests of groups and those of individual users, including issues of online sex and sexism. In the third section, cross-cultural perspectives, the advantages and risks of using CMC to communicate across cultures are examined in three studies involving users in East Asia, Mexico, and students of ethnically diverse backgrounds in remedial writing classes in the United States. The final section deals with the effects of CMC on group interaction: in a women s studies mailing list, a hierarchically-organized workplace, and a public protest on the Internet against corporate interests.

Cyber criminals, federal agents . . . and now, Elvis. In reality, the King is Mirabel Diaz, earning money by delivering singing telegrams. But Mira’s got another reason for being here: she knows Kaz Cates is secretly a master hacker with the skills to help people disappear, and that’s exactly what she needs to do. Still, Kaz can’t help wishing she’d stay awhile . . . This isn’t Mira’s preferred career—her singing voice isn’t even that great—but her ex-boyfriend, a powerful Russian gangster, hasn’t left her a choice. No matter where she runs, he seems to find a way to pull strings and get her fired. If she doesn’t get off the grid, his vengeful acts may only get worse. Kaz reluctantly agrees to help, and insists on teaching her self-defense. Though she’s afraid to trust any man, she feels safe with Kaz . . . and welcomed by his family. But if they don’t stop the danger that’s chasing her, she may have to go on the road again instead of finding a haven in his arms . . .
