He testified that after the severance of diplomatic relations, he did not register with the Swiss Embassy, which has served u.s. Interests in Cuba since diplomatic relations were severed between the two countries. Neither, he said, did he make application at the Swiss Embassy in Havana for a pass port or entrance permit before returning to the United States in April 1961. With regard to his most recent trip to Cuba in December 1960, Mr. Jerome testified that he had not made the journey on the advice or at the request of any Communist functionary.
