The US Air Force Academy has hosted the Academy Assembly each year since 1959 to focus on an issue of contemporary political interest. This, the 43 Academy Assembly, will discuss the topic, "US Policy in the Middle East: The Struggle for Peace and Prosperity." In this, the first year of the twenty-first century, the United States' policies in the Middle East are more vital and crucial than ever. This bibliography lists works that examine and document U.S. policy in the Middle East. It was compiled at the request of the Department of Political Science in support of this Assembly held from 27 February through 3 March 2001. The bibliography is a selective list of books, government documents, journal articles, and reports. Neither newspaper articles nor works of fiction are included.
