Travel patterns were studied for hospitals, colleges and universities, office buildings, and state capitol complexes. The analyses include trip generation, trip distribution, and general trip characteristics such as trip purpose and mode of travel. Data were obtained from many origin-and-destination studies conducted during recent years for urban transportation planning processes. Trips to and from specific types of land use were studied.
