Our mission is to protect the nation's transportation system--a complex 'system of systems' comprised of aircraft, ships, and rail and motor vehicles; airports, seaports, and transshipment facilities; roads, railways, bridges, and pipelines; and supporting infrastructures--from terrorist attack and criminal activity.
