I have felt for many years that there have perhaps never been a 75 to 100 years that have seen so much progress and change, both for good and bad. Life has always been mixed with both good times and bad times, and so it will until the Lord returns. But this type of good and bad is not what I am writing about. In the horse and buggy era and early years of the car, there were a lot of hard times: poverty, sickness, and epidemics, but by and large, the moral fiber of most people was much better than now. There are many things to blame, but the sad part of this is that I believe the Christians are the most to blame for not getting involved. The scapegoat idea: it's all in the Lord's hands, we don't have to worry or do anything. In the meantime, much has happened because of the ACLU, our court system, the pressure of the entertainment world and the Democratic party, and too many Republicans voting wrong. It is already illegal for the kids to pray in school or even take their Bible to school. They are trying to get "In God We Trust" off our money and take for God and Country out of the Pledge of Allegiance However, I feel there is a trend now of thinking seriously about God and morals and hard work, and there will have to be if this world is going to last. So I am dedicating this to my nine children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and anyone who reads it that it will help them see what a change has taken place in the 1900's and that it might help them on the road of life, plus hopefully bring some enjoyment.

The Life I Now Live recounts the life and ministry of J. Gresham Machen, the founder of Westminster Theological Seminary (1929), the Orthodox Presbyterian Church (1936), and the Independent Board for Presbyterian Foreign Missions (1933). This book takes you on a journey back to the early twentieth century when historic, Evangelical Christianity was met with intense opposition by the Theological Liberals known as Modernists. The Presbyterian Church (USA) in the North split over the "Fundamentalist-Modernist divide," and the leading institutions of the day did the same, including Princeton Theological Seminary. Many key leaders in the Protestant Church theologically criticized the person and redeeming work of Jesus Christ and the Bible, which is the inerrant, inspired, and authoritative word of God. J. Gresham Machen led the Evangelical Church amidst much turmoil, confusion, and deconstruction with absolute integrity and a steadfast spirit. Though he was well known and beloved within the Evangelical Church in his own day, the story of how he defended the historic Christian Faith has been largely forgotten a century later. The Life I Now Live explores Machen's defense of the gospel, his teaching and preaching ministry, and his evangelistic zeal. It is also written in commemoration of his classic work Christianity and Liberalism (1923). But it is so much more than just a biography! This book encourages "ordinary" Christians to see themselves as those who can indeed defend the Truth in today's age of Postliberalism (Postmodernism), unbiblical Gender Ideology, Critical Race Theory, and Deconstructionism. The Evangelical Church is now in a moment of crisis in which we must choose today whom we will serve. Will you serve the Lord God? And if so, how will you defend the Faith in today's culture? Read this book to find out how!

In Halfway Home, a beautifully written memoir, Ronan Tynan, a member of the enormously popular Irish Tenors, shares his remarkable story of overcoming adversity and attaining worldwide success in several different areas. Diagnosed with a lower limb disability at birth, Ronan Tynan had his legs amputated below the knee when he was twenty years old. Eight weeks later, he was climbing the stairs of his college dorm, and within a year, he was winning races in the Paralympic Games, amassing eighteen gold medals and fourteen world records. After becoming the first disabled person ever admitted to the National College of Physical Education, he served a short stint in the prosthetics industry and began a new career in medicine. He continued his studies at Trinity College, where he specialized in orthopedic sports injuries. After earning his medical degree, Ronan chose music for the next act in his life. Less than one year after he began studying voice, he won both the John McCormick Cup for Tenor Voice and the BBC talent show Go for It. He went on to win the prestigious International Operatic Singing Competition in France, and in 1998 his debut Sony album, My Life Belongs to You, became a top-five hit in England within just two weeks and eventually went platinum. Later that year, he was invited to join The Irish Tenors, furthering a journey that started in a small Irish village and has brought him to the world's grandest stages. In Halfway Home, Tynan movingly describes his life story, which Barbara Walters called "so amazing you may find it hard to believe."

After almost sixty years as an actor, William Shatner has become one of the most beloved entertainers in the world. And it seems as if Shatner is everywhere. In Up Till Now, Shatner sits down with readers and offers the remarkable, full story of his life and explains how he got to be, well, everywhere. It was the original Star Trek series, and later its films, that made Shatner instantly recognizable, called by name---or at least by Captain Kirk's name---across the globe. But Shatner neither began nor has ended his career with that role. From the very start, he took his skills as an actor and put them to use wherever he could. He straddled the classic world of the theater and the new world of television, whether stepping in for Christopher Plummer in Shakespeare's Henry V or staring at "something on the wing" in a classic episode of The Twilight Zone. And since then, he's gone on to star in numerous successful shows, such as T.J. Hooker,Rescue 911, and Boston Legal. William Shatner has always been willing to take risks for his art. What other actor would star in history's first---and probably only---all-Esperanto-language film? Who else would share the screen with thousands of tarantulas, release an album called Has Been, or film a racially incendiary film in the Deep South during the height of the civil rights era? And who else would willingly paramotor into a field of waiting fans armed with paintball guns, all waiting for a chance to stun Captain...er, Shatner? In this touching and very funny autobiography, William Shatner's Up Till Now reveals the man behind these unforgettable moments, and how he's become the worldwide star and experienced actor he is today. "It is now Bill Shatner's universe---we just live in it."---New York Daily News
