This Building Likes Me offers an engaging account of the recent work of one of Australia's most significant architectural practices, John Wardle Architects (JWA). They are fascinated by those who experience their buildings and spaces - by those who live or work in them, or simply walk past. These are the people the buildings like! This monograph captures the award-winning practice's commitment to people, cities and places, the collaborations with makers, builders and artists, and their continual inventive exploration of scale, site, landscape and narratives of memory. It presents 36 recent buildings and projects in pairs, and features photographs, drawings and images of JWA's distinctive models. Alongside the projects are short critical essays and images of life within the practice. The result is a compelling insight into contemporary architectural processes, preoccupations and projects.

One of the main points in my book is to show the youth of today the consequences of using and selling drugs and the path that can also led them down my road if there isn't a change within their lives and if they continue to commit petty crimes that are better known as midemeanors what they dont know is once they get into the Federal system all misdemenors are added up as point. Ten midemenors will add up to one year whether you served time or paid a fine or even did community service it doesn't matter they all are counted. My next point to my readers is your closet friends will rat you out at the drop of a dime once under pressure My next point is to show you that my life has changed drastically during my drug use I've done alot of things using drugs that I couldn't image doing today and that I'm embrassed about but that was my life at that time. Today I'm a new and better man

Winner of the Children's Choice Book Awards' Teen Choice Debut Author Award Everyone knows Alice slept with two guys at one party. When Healy High star quarterback, Brandon Fitzsimmons, dies in a car crash, it was because he was sexting with Alice. Ask anybody. Rumor has it Alice Franklin is a slut. It's written all over the "slut stall" in the girls' bathroom: "Alice had sex in exchange for math test answers" and "Alice got an abortion last semester." After Brandon dies, the rumors start to spiral out of control. In this remarkable debut novel, four Healy High students tell all they "know" about Alice--and in doing so reveal their own secrets and motivations, painting a raw look at the realities of teen life. But in this novel from Jennifer Mathieu, exactly what is the truth about Alice? In the end there's only one person to ask: Alice herself. This title has Common Core connections.

In the period covered here (1960–75) Isaiah Berlin creates Wolfson College, Oxford; John F. Kennedy becomes US President (and is assassinated); Berlin dines with JFK on the day he is told of the Soviet missile bases in Cuba; the Six-Day Arab–Israeli war of 1967 creates problems that are still with us today; Richard M. Nixon succeeds Johnson as US President and resigns over Watergate; and the long agony of the Vietnam War grinds on in the background. At the same time Berlin publishes some of his most important work, including Four Essays on Liberty – the key texts of his liberal pluralism – and the essays later included in Vico and Herder. He talks on the radio, appears on television and in documentary films and gives numerous lectures, especially his celebrated Mellon Lectures, later published as The Roots of Romanticism. Behind these public events is a constant stream of gossip and commentary, acerbic humour and warm personal feeling. Berlin writes about an enormous range of topics to a sometimes dazzling cast of correspondents. This new volume leaves no doubt that Berlin is one of the very best letter-writers of the twentieth century.
