Thus the book is now a complete guide to all the wild fowl of Asia from the Mediterranean to the Pacific, and will, it is hoped, be serviceable to sportsmen East and West of our Indian Empire, as well as affording means of identification to Anglo-Indians of species at present not known as Indian, but likely in the future to come over our borders, as the Red-breasted Goose and Mandarin Duck have done since the publication of this work in its original form.
