Retaining the vigor of its wild days in its roots, the wild bush is cut off and the tame bush blooms forth a thing of beauty and ajoy. At the end of its second year, it is ready to go out into the world to meet its new guardian, the Rose Lover, and to be fed and cultivated through its appointed term growing and thriving in proportion to the care and affection bestowed upon it. But, as you may well realize, the early days of the seedling require by far the greatest care. If anything fails here, the rose fails. It is a thorough appreciation of this fact that has led us to put so much careful study on this phase of rose-culture, and which has caused us to take such care of the roses' welfare during their early days.
