Consists of a biographical sketch about the life and accomplishments of the Rev. William Schenck. The manuscript is written on lined paper, in an unknown hand, and is not dated. It gives the ancestry of the Schenck family, and starts in 1650 when Schenck's grandfather arrived in "New Amsterdam", now New York, from Holland, in 1650, and settled in Long Island in 1660. It talks about Schenck's expenses when he was a student at the College of New Jersey; his graduation; who signed his diploma; and after that studying theology under the Rev. William Tennent at Freehold, New Jersey. The manuscript talks about Schenck's marriage, his appointments at different churches, his retirement from the Ministry in 1817, after which he went to live with his son in Franklin, Ohio, where he established the Presbyterian Church of Franklin in 1818. Page 13 contains a bibliography followed by the Schenck family-tree on p. 14. The manuscript ends with a list of Schenck's children with their birth and death dates and the location where they were born.
