In this book, the stories of the prophets have been compiled by Ibn Kathir who has a prominent place in the Islamic literature. The stories of the prophets and all the events in their lives have been supported by the Qur'anic Verses and the Sunnah (traditions) of the Prophet (S). Wherever it was necessary, other sources have also been reported for the sake of historical accounts, but on such places a comparative study has been made to prove the authenticity of the sources. Ibn Kathir has reproduced the views and interpretations of all the great exegetes of the Qur'an of his time. The systemic narratives of the Stories of the Prophets have been written in chronological order which renders a historical style to the book.

Elder Robert D. Hales of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles declared: Living prophets are leading this church today. The greatest security of members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints comes from learning to listen to and obey the words and commandments that the Lord has given through living prophets. I would hope that the world would understand the importance of having a living prophet on earth today. (In Conference Report, Apr. 1995, 19; or Ensign, May 1995, 17) As the teacher for this course, you have the opportunity of helping your students recognize the blessing of living in a day when living prophets are upon the earth. You can help them know that Heavenly Father speaks today as He has in all dispensations. When the living prophets speak in an authoritative capacity to the members of the Church, what they say is “the mind of the Lord, . . . the voice of the Lord, and the power of God unto salvation” (D&C 68:4). Prayerfully study the scriptures and general conference addresses. Seek the Holy Spirit as you choose learning activities that help students grow spiritually. Help students discover, understand, and live the truths presented in the conferences of the Church. This manual supplements your preparation by providing introductory information to the chapters, identifying scriptures and gospel principles, and suggesting ways you can help students understand the doctrine and apply it in their lives.

An address delivered in 1989 in the UK by the Head of the Worldwide Ahmadiyya Muslim community providing an insight into the character of Muhammad, the Holy Prophet of Islam (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him). It highlights the salient characteristics of the Holy Prophet of Islam aptly described in the Holy Qur’an as the Seal of the Prophets. Replete with the views about Muhammad from both Orientalists and Western writers, the author reviews the Holy Prophet’s life, analyses his views on justice and racism, the Prophet’s treatment of animals and provides a mature Islamic viewpoint on the controversy over blasphemy, a topical issue in 1989 and today. This is a unique lecture by a speaker whose narration of the life of the Holy Prophet was already renowned within the Muslim community and this brief introduction has set unassailable standards. No man feels so much affection for his mentor the way the speaker does and none can do better justice than him in providing an exciting insight to a personality that changed the entire course of history.
