The Governor of Pennsylvania and his party arrived at Edenton on the morning of November 20th, and were joined by the Governor and Chief Justice of North Carolina, in whose presence and that of a distinguished group of citizens, the exhumation was made. The cortege proceeded to Norfolk, Va., accompanied by members of the Cincin nati of North Carolina, as a guard of honor. The re mains were received by the United States Government on board the U. S. S. Dubuque, and were carried to Philadelphia. There, guarded by United States Ma rines, the casket lay in State in Independence Hall, the scene of Wilson's greatest triumphs.
