In 2013, Rob Siegel (a.k.a. "The Hack Mechanic") wandered waaaay outside of his German car comfort zone and blew the advance from his first book on a car that captivated him as an adolescent-a 1974 Lotus Europa Twin Cam Special. The car hadn't been on the road since 1979, had a seized engine, and was purchased sight-unseen, but it was complete and had only 24,000 miles on it. In the week after it arrived, Rob feverishly ripped out the drivetrain, but the project soon ran into molasses due to the fact that all options for rebuilding or replacing the low-production Lotus-Ford Twin Cam engine would've cost more than he'd paid for the car. It was six years before the car was running, during which Rob lost his job and changed careers, necessitating that if work on the Lotus proceeded at all, costs needed to be relentlessly contained. All of this was chronicled on Facebook in a series of posts titled "The Lotus Chronicles," in which Rob's friends and acquaintances-the Hack Mechanic faithful-chimed in on the process, offering advice, encouragement, ridicule, scorn, every Lucas joke known to man and woman, and insight on why Lotus really does stand for "lots of trouble, usually serious."The Lotus Chronicles is a collection of those posts, woven together with sections providing context and perspective. It's about passion, perseverance, the balance between "doing it right" and getting 'er done, what it takes to drag a project across the finish line, and coming to finally understand an offhand comment a man made to Rob when he first saw that Europa when he was 13 years old: "A car like that, you can get SEX out of."

"All these years, I've never given my heart to anyone... The truth is, I didn't have a heart to give. My heart was with a ghost." To the rest of the world, he was the little boy who went missing on the Fourth of July. But to Sydney Neville, he was everything. Her heart hasn't been the same since her best friend disappeared, but she's learned to build her life around that missing piece. Twenty-two years later, the last thing Sydney expects is for Oliver Lynch to return. Having been captive underground for decades, he's unfamiliar with the strange new world that awaits him—but he's alive. He's here. And no matter how he's changed, he and Sydney both still feel the connection that runs between them. But as their reborn friendship begins to feel like something more, Sydney and Oliver realize there are still jagged, painful truths creating space between them. The walls Sydney's built don't want to come down, and as Oliver hunts for his missing memories and lost time, he realizes his nightmare is not yet over. With nothing as it seems, is there space for love to bloom in this dark place? "I have such a soft spot for strong but innocent heroes, and Lotus has one of the best there is. If you are looking for a compelling story that touches on deep, emotional topics, a heroine who is easy to love, and a beautifully vulnerable male hero, pick this one up immediately." -Mia Sheridan, NYT bestselling author

Yip Chi Chuan, a young martial and spiritual ascetic, must flee as the only home he has ever known, the ancient monastery of the Priests of K'un Lun, is destroyed by a newly ascendant extradimensional evil. Cast out and alone, Yip strikes out on a quest spanning the breadth of his home world of Ea'ae and into the greater macroverse beyond in an attempt to unseat an all-consuming Darkness rooted in his once vaunted order's distant past. Will Yip, the last of his kind to walk the wide world beyond his fallen sanctuary, succeed where his mighty brethren failed in ages past? Unfortunately for Yip, the answer appears all too clear... Without the guidance and teachings of his lineage, pursued by malevolent supernatural agents of the Cabal, unable to fully defend himself in a world steeped in magic, his quest may fail before it ever begins. Unfazed by his limitations, guided by his inner vision and direct experience of the energies of life, the radiant chi suffusing and enlivening the world all around, he is determined to triumph where others have faltered. To win forward, he will need help...but first he must survive. A blend of Western fantasy and Eastern martial arts and mysticism, the Chronicles of the Fists is an epic trilogy recounting Yip's adventures against all odds. Kuan Yin is the most important, best-loved deity in the Chinese world. She is the living expression of compassion and the center of devotion in most Chinese homes and workplaces. Yet she is barely known in the West. The authors of The Kuan Yin Chronicles introduce Kuan Yin to Western readers, and reveal that Kuan Yin is the mystery and power of the divine feminine, who transcends all doctrines, creeds, and traditions. The book is divided into three sections: 1. The origins and evolution of Kuan Yin in early China, Buddhism, Taoism, and shamanism. 2. The myths and stories about Kuan Yin. 3. Fresh translations of 100 Kuan Yin poems, which function as both literature and tools for divination and prophecy. The Kuan Yin Chronicles is for any Western reader who wants to connect with the ancient power of the Goddess in their lives.
