Pasha is a slave, whoring for travelers at the most treacherous bar on Warlan. The day Pasha spots the dangerous pirate in the bar, he knows he mustn't let the stranger slip away, no matter what he must do to draw his attention. Captain Griffin Hawke spent the better part of a decade searching for his lost king, only to find Helios Dayspring crouched between his legs, swathed in the robes and shackles of a whore. Though he is appalled by the downfall of his king, Grif falls for the sensual creature who has taken his place. After a brutal invasion stripped his people of nearly everything, they desperately need Helios to lead them. But returning him to throne means smuggling him off the planet, disabling the chip that keeps him submissive and forgetful. They will face old enemies, traitors, and greedy opportunists who'd like to strip their new planet of its wealth. It might mean Grif losing his lover... and they've both lost too much already.

Plucked as a prize of war from the palace of the poet-king of Sevilla, princess Zaida lost her name, her religion and her family in a single day. Isolated in San Facund, the monastic heart of the Castilian kings vast realm, Isabels Psalter and folio of Islamic poems kept her spirit alive in a town that considered her "a Moorish whore." Betrayal and a clever escape led her to a new life, and a chance to write her colorful tale. "The Moorish Whore" is based on the true story of an 11th century princess.

After the restoration of the English monarchy in 1660, Protestants worried that King Charles II might favour religious freedom for Roman Catholics, and many suspected that the king was unduly influenced by his Catholic mistresses. Nell Gwyn, actress and royal mistress, stood apart by virtue of her Protestant loyalty. In 1681, Gwyn, her carriage surrounded by an angry anti-Catholic mob, famously declared 'I am the protestant whore.' Her self-branding invites an investigation into the alignment between sex and politics during this period, and in this study, Alison Conway relates courtesan narrative to cultural and religious anxieties. In new readings of canonical works by Aphra Behn, Daniel Defoe, Henry Fielding, and Samuel Richardson, Conway argues that authors engaged the same questions about identity, nation, authority, literature, and politics as those pursued by Restoration polemicists. Her study reveals the recurring connection between sexual impropriety and religious heterodoxy in Restoration thought, and Nell Gwyn, writ large as the nation's Protestant Whore, is shown to be a significant figure of sexual, political, and religious controversy.

Bradford Mudge's book looks at the origins of literary pornography in English, presenting a comprehensive overview of the complex issues surrounding pornography in the eighteenth century, as it appears in fiction, poetry, criticism, medical manuals, and illustrations. Mudge frames these battles in the context of contemporary feminine argument, while closely reading the moment in which the lines of battle were first drawn.

From Ho (Whore) to Holy details the journey of a person going from innocence to idolatry, and back to righteousness, by mirroring Marcia's life steps to those of Israel, the "apple of God's eye." Israel was created by the Creator, because of his desire to have a wife, a people, and a family. Israel is important to all human beings, because it is the focus of what God has planned for all of us, individually! But Israel wanted freedom (from one god) and fun, by seeking many lovers (different gods), which in essence, constituted idolatry. How can the whorish Israel ever become a loyal and righteous wife (nation) again? By traveling through Marcia's life, we realize that Israel will be the wife of God, and believers will be the wife of Jesus! The book details the steps of becoming a harlot, characteristics of a whore, consequences of whoredom, steps to take to stop whoredom, how to be transformed (with benefits), ensuring that one becomes holy, and no longer living as a ho. There are some women in the Bible who were transformed, with benefits, which included Ruth, Tamar, and Mary Magdalene. There were some who pretended to be transformed, but were not, such as Samson. And then, there were those who no longer practiced whoredom, changed, and became a wife, such as Rahab. This book allows self-assessment of ones level of holiness, righteousness, and intimacy with God.
