The first year of the amalgamation between the Postal Microscopical Society and the Wesley Naturalists' Society having drawn to a close, we are glad to be able to assure our readers that the arrangement has proved entirely satisfactory. The aims of the two Societies are so very similar that there can be no reason for their separate existence, while their union has enabled us to produce an enlarged and improved periodical. The circulation has considerably increased, although not to the extent that we had anticipated. We hope, however, that there will be a continued improvement in this respect as the new features of the Journal become more widely known.
