For my part, I must admit it is with time and the age that wisdom allowed me to be slow to anger to accomplish Gods justice and to be worthy of the Messiah, worthy of the Word of God. The Word of God, the truth that is in my opinion the greatest power in this world is with me, and I love it with all of my heart. It is the Word of God that gives me the taste to write about it, the taste to make it known, and the taste to share it with the greatest possible number of people in this world. I strongly believe that without it, I wouldnt have too much to say or to write about. There were days and even this year when I asked myself what could have changed me to this point, and the only answer I got was that it was the Word of God that did it. But this is absolutely wonderful. To live in the kingdom of heaven, in the kingdom of Jesus, is the most wonderful thing that could happen to a human being, and this is what gives me the taste to invite people from all nations to come to join me in it. I hope with my whole heart this is what my books and my hymns to my Lord will do. This is exactly why the Messiah, Jesus, gave his life for: so we could all be this happy. May he be blessed above all men who lived on this earth! James Prince

Download Hank Greenberg Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Baseball during the Great Depression of the 1930s galvanized communities and provided a struggling country with heroes. Jewish player Hank Greenberg gave the people of Detroit—and America—a reason to be proud. But America was facing more than economic hardship. Hitler’s agenda heightened the persecution of Jews abroad while anti-Semitism intensified political and social tensions in the U.S. The six-foot-four-inch Greenberg, the nation’s most prominent Jew, became not only an iconic ball player, but also an important and sometimes controversial symbol of Jewish identity and the American immigrant experience. Throughout his twelve-year baseball career and four years of military service, he heard cheers wherever he went along with anti-Semitic taunts. The abuse drove him to legendary feats that put him in the company of the greatest sluggers of the day, including Babe Ruth, Jimmie Foxx, and Lou Gehrig. Hank’s iconic status made his personal dilemmas with religion versus team and ambition versus duty national debates. Hank Greenberg is an intimate account of his life—a story of integrity and triumph over adversity and a portrait of one of the greatest baseball players and most important Jews of the twentieth century. The first book in a fun, action-packed middle-grade series for heroes in training by Petra James and A. Yi. Twelve-year-old Henrie is the first girl heir of the Melchior family in 200 years. This was deemed a dereliction of duty by the formidable Octavia Melchior, head of the House of Melchior (HoMe). For HoMe is in the business of heroes for hire. Boy heroes, that is. Girls have no place. When Henrie receives a mysterious note, it sets off a chain of events including a kidnapping, a fancy skateboard manoeuvre and a private jet and she discovers something rotten at the heart of HoMe. As past, present and future collide, HoMe is poised to come tumbling down … unless a new kind of hero can emerge from the rubble.

Hero. Someone we admire, someone we want to be like. But does your idea of a hero include someone poor in spirit? Meek? Merciful? In this fresh look at the Beatitudes, Iain M. Duguid shows how Jesus turns our concept of a hero upside-down. The Beatitudes hold out to us a higher form of heroism--the character and attitudes found in the Hero of heroes.
