Excerpt from The Gentleman's Magazine and Historical Review, Vol. 211: 1861, July to December Inclusive Though we studiously avoid the expression of party views, and therefore seldom allude to home politics, one measure of the last Smion of Parliament has the appearance of so affecting our position that a few words on it will naturally be expected by our readers.
