"It is the first book on the Festival, which is the largest gathering of Oceania's finest dancers, singers, performers, carvers and other cultural practitioners. The Festival has been held every four years since 1972 at a venue in the Pacific. “Pasefika” is based on my photography at the 10th Festival of Pacific Arts, which was held in American Samoa in 2008. More than 2,000 performers representing some 23 Pacific nations and territories attended the event. The book is designed to give the reader the sense of being an intimate part of the Festival.
