This memoir is the result of several years of a commitment to impart my unbelievable saga to the universe. The legend is the offspring of my fervent labor of love. It is the true and poignant narrative of a woman with emotional illness, named India, who becomes homeless in the fifth month of her pregnancy. She was transcended from the height of ecstasy to the depths of despair when her newborn blessing is snatched from her breast like a lovely flower, plucked up from its roots, and placed in foster care. What follows is a heartfelt account of how she overcomes unspeakable trials and tribulations, and how her unyielding faith in God ultimately sustains, and carries her from glory to glory. She is eventually reunited with her only child, but only after they both suffer deep, invisible scars which would remain throughout their lifetimes. India receives some divine recompense when she, at last, comes into her undeniable destiny.

Heroes are not born, but forged in the crucible of desperate necessity. In the decaying world of Vaidolin, where divine power ebbs and ancient houses cling to fading glory, three lives become entangled in a desperate dance of survival and ambition: Taul, a consort with the rare gift to coax life from barren earth, watches helplessly as his millennia-old orchard rots, mirroring the decay of his people. Torn between duty to his matron and the pull of his neglected power, he plunges into Vaidolin's criminal underbelly, seeking an heiress to save his house – and perhaps himself. Ren, a thief hardened by years of service to the High Matron's consort, grasps at a fleeting chance for redemption. In a world where every shadow hides a dagger, he must decide whether to embrace the light or be forever consumed by the darkness that has been his ally. Gishna, the ancient matron of Ilor'Hosmyr, orchestrates a desperate gambit to preserve her blighted bloodline, blind to the rot consuming her valley and her power. Her actions threaten to shatter the fragile balance of the crater, plunging the Mornae into chaos. Set against a backdrop of crumbling orchards and whispered conspiracies, this dark fantasy explores the cost of power and the weight of legacy. As divine magic wanes and bitter rivalries resurface, Taul, Ren, and Gishna must navigate treacherous alliances and hidden agendas, their choices determining not just their own fates, but the future of their entire civilization. The Empty Vessel is the second book in the Fifth Accord series. Each book focuses on one of the five Mornae high houses and builds to an inevitable conclusion... civil war.

Most Christians know they lack something, the reality of God's presence in their life and His power working in and through them. His power to help them in their life, His power to transform their life and His power to help them serve Him. However if we are honest for most Christians God's presence and the notion of His power working in their life is a concept rather than a reality. They 'have a form of godliness but lack the power of God in their life' (2Timothy 3:5 paraphrased). But...One of the natural laws is that you can only fill empty open vessels. You cannot fill an empty vessel which is closed; you have to open it before you can fill it. And you cannot fill a vessel which is full even if full with the wrong kind of stuff; you have to empty it before you can fill it. God established that natural law Himself and it seems He doesn't bypass it.We come across many empty open vessels in the Bible. For example Elisha and the poor widow in the Old Testament. The miracles of Jesus in the New Testament - the miraculous turning water into wine through His power started with empty open vessels; on two occasions miraculously filling Peter's empty net with fish through His power; and on two occasions miraculously feeding (filling) a hungry crowd (empty human vessels) through His power. And of course the empty tomb. Could it be that 'empty open vessels' teach us something about how God reveals His power in us to transform us, to help us serve Him or do His will or to help us in our life? This book explores the 'Parable of the Empty Open Vessel', how God fills 'empty open human vessels' with His power. Empty and open human vessels who are hungry and thirsty for God and His power in their life, and are reaching to God with desire to be filled.

Here is poetry that is personal yet spreading to have its tentacles struggling to grip into other equally slippery facets of life. In brief, Beaton writes his poetry to assuage his personal feelings yet in so doing he ends up massaging our shared experience - as Malawians, Africans and just as humans. Beaton has observed, learnt, and is growing in the Malawian poetry space. Thus, he also comes to the stage bearing the Malawian influence on his poetry.
