John Doane (1594/1595-1685) emigrated about 1629/1630 from England to Plymouth, Massachusetts. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, New Jersey, Ohio and elsewhere. Some descendants immigated to Ontario and elsewhere in Canada. Includes ancestry and genealogical data in England, chiefly in Cheshire. Includes other Doane-Done immigrants and some of their descendants. Vol. 2 chiefly contains a continuation of family history and genealogical data (arranged and numbered in the same style as v. 1). It also includes a history of the Doane Family Association of America between 1902 and 1976, its officers, collection of genealogical data, and efforts of its Publications Committee.
