When Jesus said to the Jewish leader Nicodemus, "You must be born again," Nicodemus asked in astonishment, "How can these things be?" Some two thousand years later, people are still confused about the term "born again," though more people than ever claim to have had the experience. In this booklet, Dr. R.C. Sproul cuts through the confusion and carefully explains what it means to be born again. Dr. Sproul affirms that the new birth is essential for salvation and goes on to show that this regeneration is a sovereign work of God in our hearts. The Crucial Questions booklet series by Dr. R.C. Sproul offers succinct answers to important questions often asked by Christians and thoughtful inquirers.

The primal role of art in awakening and liberating the soul of humanity • Presents a seven-stage journey of transformation moving from the darkened soul to the light of spiritual illumination • Provides a meditation practice to experience the spiritual energy embedded within art • Includes artists Alex Grey, Jackson Pollock, Mark Rothko, Walter Gaudnek, and others Art and Spiritual Transformation presents a seven-stage journey from the darkened soul to the light of spiritual illumination that is possible through the world of art. Finley Eversole introduces a meditation practice that moves beyond the visual content of an art form in order to connect with its embedded spiritual energy, allowing the viewer to tap in to the deeper consciousness inherent in the artwork and awaken dormant powers in the depths of the viewer’s soul. Examining modern and postmodern artwork from 1945 onward, Eversole reveals the influences of ancient Egypt, India, China, and alchemy on this art. He draws extensively on philosophy, myth and symbolism, literature, and metaphysics to explain the seven stages of spiritual death and rebirth of the soul possible through art: the experience of self-loss, the journey into the underworld, the experience of the dark night of the soul, the conflict with and triumph over evil, the awakening of new life in the depths of being, and the return and reintegration of consciousness on a higher plane of being, resulting finally in ecstasy, transfiguration, illumination, and liberation. To illustrate these stages, Eversole includes works by abstract expressionists Jackson Pollock, Willem de Kooning, and Mark Rothko and modern visionary artists Alex Grey and Ernst Fuchs, among others, to reveal the powerful and liberating forces art contributes to the transformation and evolution of human consciousness.

Death is a destination of finality. We are all headed towards this destination, which, depending on beliefs, leads us to an afterlife, or to a never-ending sleep. Throughout the pages in the book, I will explore questions that we all have regarding the processes of death and beliefs of an afterlife. The stories shrouded in the mystery of death will hold a true testament to the beliefs of groups throughout history and today. There are times when spirits can align themselves with people within this plane. When this happens, we can either look at it as if there is a mental condition, or a deeper meaning that perpetuates within the psyche of the paranormal. Many of us out there would question the mental make-up of someone that writes about such instances. I can say from personal experience, that this phenomenon occurs, and maybe at a higher rate than we realize. Death the Saga Publication's continues to take great pride in bringing you experiences from the divine and supernatural in a way that makes sense in our heart of hearts. Note; this is my personal relationship with God, Christ, and all the Angels that are there to discern the darkness that remains a great distractor in our lives today. This book explores my relationship with God, personal experiences, Scripture interpretations, and a detailed account of fighting the evil that seems to be opening the door to so many people in the world, in churches, and in homes today. I do not claim to be an expert on this matter, but I will claim that God has reawakened me to new thought processes within spiritual discernment and warfare. I thank God today for again opening my heart and allowing my soul to again thirst for the knowledge of the almighty. I have truly reestablished my born-again mentality. The paranormal has always been an interest of mine through the years. Whether the typical movie at the theater, or visiting areas that have been a hot spot for activity from enthusiasts. Several years ago, during a family vacation we visited two such sites; Bullock Hotel in Deadwood, South Dakota and the Villisca Axe Murder House in Villisca, Iowa. Like all families, we had fun experiencing such sites that the "Ghost Hunters" have visited. Chasing ghosts was a fun activity and seemed harmless. Although there have been occurrences in my life that I cannot physically explain. I have broken down the stories in my book in occurrences that I have personally experienced. Take a look, examine the situation and believe what you wish regarding the paranormal and how it affects us in our daily lives. This book will explore all the possibilities in regards to religion, spirituality, and the supernatural in regards to the legacy that God has in all of our hearts. I have given my heart to Jesus Christ again, once again I will try and make sense of the mysteries that are presenting themselves to my family and I. I do know that many of you will find what I have to say demoralizing to the spiritualist movement or within the paranormal, and I am perfectly fine with that. This is merely a dialogue of my spiritual development over the course of the last few years. Enjoy the book and may God bless you.

Nearing his final days, a beloved Unitarian minister meditates on life, love, and death: “The goal is to live in such a way that our lives will prove worth dying for.” On a February day in 2008, Forrest Church sent a letter to the members of his congregation, informing them that he had terminal cancer; his life would now be measured in months, not years. He went on to promise that he would sum up his thoughts on the topics that had been so pervasive in his work—love and death—in a final book. Church has been justly celebrated as a writer of American history, but his works of spiritual guidance have been especially valued for their insight and inspiration. As a minister, Church defined religion as "our human response to the dual reality of being alive and having to die." The goal of life, he tells us "is to live in such a way that our lives will prove worth dying for." Love & Death is imbued with ideas and exemplars for achieving that goal, and the stories he offers—all drawn from his own experiences and from the lives of his friends, family, and parishioners—are both engrossing and enlightening. Forrest Church's final work may be his most lasting gift to his readers.

An illumination of the difference between "belief alone or water baptism" and "spiritual baptism". The author asks the reader "have you been born again? Have you received the Holy Spirit? How do you know you have been spiritually reborn? Can the spiritual rebirth of Christians today be authenticated by the bible. Are Christians today being "born again" as those believers in the new testament; or are today's Christians following a counterfeit pagan gospel introduced by the Roman emperor Constantine? The author shows how spiritual rebirth can be observed and authenticated just as the birth of a human baby is manifested and observed the a hospital paternity room. The author asks the reader have you received the "biblical" infilling of the Holy Spirit or merely a counterfeit pagan version of spiritual rebirth introduced by Constantine? The difference is a matter of spiritual life and spiritual death. No man shall enter the kingdom of heaven that is not born again. To be born again means to receive infilling of the Holy Spirit. Receipt of the Holy Spirit is spiritual rebirth. Why do today's Christians not receive spiritual baptisms as those believers experienced in the new testament? Why do Christians not speak in tongues upon receipt of the Holy Spirit today as those disciples did in the upper room and throughout the new testament? It is shown that contemporary Christians are not following the same spiritual gospel taught by Jesus Christ and not receiving spiritual baptisms required to enter the kingdom of heaven. Can a believer enter the kingdom of heaven merely because he or she believes Jesus Christ is the son of God, pays tithes and attends church? This is a book for both congregation members and preachers. This book raises serious theological issues that must be resolved before death in the flesh to assure everlasting life in the kingdom of God. The author explains that believers must not only believe in Christ but receive the biblical infilling of the Holy Spirit evidenced by speaking in tongues. It is shown how Constantine's Roman Christianity "aborted" the Holy Spirit and discontinued Christ's spiritual gospel and receipt of the Holy Spirit. What exactly is the Holy Spirit and how do men know when they have been filled with the Holy Spirit is examined in detail.

The Christian life is actually a kind of death. We die to ourselves, take up our cross, and follow Jesus. Dying in Christ, however, is an opportunity—to experience the comforting presence of the Holy Spirit as we spread the Good News of a God who loves us enough to save us and remake us in his image. Efrem Smith helps us see that Christian discipleship is a counterintuitive life. In a world turned upside down by sin, God carefully and lovingly strips us of worldly values and turns us right-side up as good citizens and ambassadors of his Kingdom.
