Emily and Bobby Trickle, love to visit their great grandad Dave in his nursing home, where they would hear his marvellous adventures from back in the days when he was a milkman, and how one year, he and his magical milk float Milky assisted Santa Claus by saving Christmas for everyone, all over the world. Many others family members had heard these and other stories over the years, but with age comes disbelief in such stories, as we sadly consign them to the attic along with childhood toys and other such remembrance's for more grown-up thoughts. Dave's stories were now looked upon, by his money-grabbing relations, as proof of his decline, because he would always insist that all his stories were true and that we must believe in such things. As we follow Milky and Dave on their milk-round, we share in this magical world, a world the public are not aware of: talking milk floats, milk bottles, vehicles and animals all chatting away. They have great adventures battling with the weather, especially the snow and there are other challenges too. Dave, Milky and the bottles come up with innovative ways to get the job done like the Parachuting Pinta's trained by the U.K special forces to get the job done, using their invention, the magnificent Milk-a-pult! Milky had big dreams of becoming a super hero, called Superfloat! This Christmas Eve, they meet many characters along the way, helping when they can. Whilst taking shelter in The Old Creaking Barn, they witness a crash from out of the sky into the thick snow. It was Santa Claus himself and his sleigh that was now wrecked along with the Christmas delivery! Milky and Dave come to Santa's rescue and the biggest of all adventures begins delivering gift everywhere. On Christmas morning, Milky discovers what a fantastic Christmas present Santa has left him, to get his hearts desire to be able to transform when needed into a super hero called Superfloat. This is only the start of the adventure...

This carefully crafted ebook: "THE PSAMMEAD TRILOGY – The Magical Adventures of Five Friends (Illustrated)" is formatted for your eReader with a functional and detailed table of contents. Five Children and It begins with a group of children that move from London to the countryside of Kent. The five children – Cyril, Anthea, Robert, Jane, and their baby brother, known as the Lamb – are playing in a gravel pit when they uncover a rather grumpy, ugly, and occasionally malevolent Psammead or sand-fairy, who has the ability to grant wishes. The Phoenix and the Carpet follows the further adventures of Cyril, Anthea, Robert, Jane and the Lamb. Their mother buys the children a new carpet to replace one from the nursery that they have destroyed in an accidental fire. The children find an egg in the carpet, which hatches into a talking Phoenix. The Phoenix explains that the carpet is a magic one that will grant them three wishes a day. In The Story of the Amulet the children re-encounter the Psammead. However, as it no longer grants wishes to the children, its capacity is mainly advisory in relation to the children's other discovery, the Amulet, thus following a successfully established formula. Edith Nesbit (1858-1924) was the author of world famous books for children - the tales of fantastical adventures, journeys back in time and travel to magical worlds. Nesbit also wrote for adults, including novels, short stories and four collections of horror stories.
