Your Last Breath: 1876 - Christopher leaves his young family behind to work in Norway. He will map the uncharted mountains for the very first time. 1999 - Anna's body freezes after an extreme skiing accident and her heart stops. But doctors gradually warm her until it miraculously starts beating again. 2011 - Freija, a successful business woman, has just lost her father. She travels to scatter his ashes in Norway. 2034 - Nicholas explains a medical breakthrough which saved his life as a baby, whereby the human body can be 'suspended in animation.' Spanning 150 years, Your Last Breath piece fuses movement, live piano score and video unravelling the landscapes of the heart and our own personal geographies. It was a Fringe First Winner in 2011 and will be touring, potentially to Scandinavia, in the Spring. After the Rainfall: Throughout history, the study of ants (myrmecology) has been used as an analogy for human behaviour. This piece uses myrmecology as a prism through which to view the present day. Navigating the arid Egyptian desert, continental Europe, the British Museum and a quiet village green, this piece is a patchwork of multidimensional narratives about the aftermath of the Empire. Curious Directive conjure a world where multimedia, movement and sound unpick Britain's relationship to artefacts, mining and the secret life of ants. An epic, thumping, passionate story asking questions about the relationship between our past, present and into eternity. A collaboration between Curious Directive, Watford Palace Theatre and Escalator East to Edinburgh, and it will play at the Edinburgh Festival (Pleasance Dome, 4-27 August) followed by a run at the Watford Palace Theatre. Olfactory: Over 10,000 different smells drift across our planet in various configurations. Olfactory gives you a choice to craft your identity and to decode the invisible molecules floating through the air. Who do you want to be in the future? This miniature explores our invisible relationship with perfumes and smell.

Download Before Creation, Planet Life, After Life Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The purpose of this book, “Before Creation, Planet Life, After Life,” is to cause readers, especially Christians, to search for a broader perspective of Scriptures referencing man’s existence before and after death. I hope this work will initiate more thought as to when, where, and how we fit into God’s mind and final plans for us. If we embark upon this search looking at Scripture through traditional lenses, we will miss seeing the things of God, by the faith of God. He is the one who invited us saying, “If any man lacks wisdom (knowledge on any subject), let him ask of God who gives to all men liberally (holds nothing back from us)!” Yet, there are many church leaders who warn their parishioners against asking God questions concerning those things which plague their souls, even though the book of Job is a good example that God is not intimidated by our questions. Considering Job’s experience and reverence for God, while searching for answers, I believe the result of our seeking and asking will bring us the comfort and steadfastness that we so desperately need in our times of sorrow and disconnectedness. It may give us that “blessed assurance” that we have been, are, and will be “forever with the Lord!” We’re not strangers to Him, because He said that He chose us in Him (knew us) “before the foundation of the world” was laid. (Ephesians 1:4)

Download Dying the Good Death Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Eternally, from struggles to serenity, from a jaded life to joy and jubilation in heaven, I pray that this book will invoke the tough conversations regarding being prepared financially for final arrangements and discussing end-of-life wishes. Both living wills and materialistic wills are important. Planning certainly helps the survivors cope better, and this book will help you to see the importance of preparation. I sincerely hope that my work will become a cornerstone for learning across this nation. This book was not easy to compile because it evoked many repressed memories that I thought was better to forget, but God said different. God said to share my knowledge with all who has an ear and will hear. I pray that the case studies will be demonstrative that not every journey is similar but very unique. In my experience, no two people have ever died alike. This book is spiritually based in that I reference biblical Scriptures because this is how I have managed my hospice goals and journey. God has divinely provided me with the knowledge to survive twenty-one years of hospice. He has also provided me the courage and wisdom to author this book! If I can increase the wisdom, knowledge, and understanding of different cultures, races, and human beings, then I truly believe that God will be pleased with my obedience to fulfill his desires for this particular purpose of my life. 2

Download Just Breathe Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Just Breathe is a composition of many diverse poems directed to withstand life stressors and face emotional taboos. This book is designed to paint a picture of endless emotions that we experience daily. Some may find this book exhilarating, and some may see it as liberating to correlate what one feels but is unable to speak out loud. We experience so much in our short lives that breathing sometimes becomes almost impossible. This book was written with the intention to explore those deep emotions and put clarity to what seems unbearable. Due to unfortunate circumstanceswhether natural disasters or self-created chaoswe may feel as if our lungs have been taken hostage, leaving us fighting for air. Just Breathe shows the battles we all face in life and the beauty of our strength when we stand tall and selfishly fight for our will to breathe.

Download The Art of Dying Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
“The Art of Dying speaks to modern readers with refreshing frankness and wit. It covers the subject thoroughly, from how to inform relatives of impending death, to coping with pain and fear, to death rituals, to preparing for a possible afterlife or, depending on one’s viewpoint, the end of it all.” —Publishers Weekly “Along with our caring presence, this book may be the finest gift we can give someone facing the last stage of life.” —Rabbi Harold Kushner, author of When Bad Things Happen to Good People “Dr. Weenolsen . . . doesn’t duck the tough questions.” —M. Brewster Smith, PhD, former president, American Psychological Association “This book gives the same things a good support group does—compassionate sympathy and practical advice for people sharing pain. It will be a godsend.” —Rebecca Brown, author of Gifts of the Body “Begins with ‘the day you receive the diagnosis’ and the sudden realization that ‘never again will you be as you were. Even if by some miracle you heal, it will be only temporary.’ Weenolsen takes the panic and paralysis out of such news through wise, aggressive, no-holds-barred approaches.” —Patricia Holt, San Francisco Chronicle “A book everyone can benefit from reading.” —Nancy Pearl, author of More Book Lust “Also for family and friends of dying persons, for professionals in the health-care fields, and for those who train them.” —Hannelore Wass, PhD, founding editor, Death Studies
