Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 The importance of foreplay is often emphasized in sex magazines and books for couples. However, for most women, simply kissing, breast fondling, and clitoral touching isn’t enough to satisfy their sexual appetite. They want direct clitoral stimulation throughout the entire act. #2 My approach to teaching sex is to focus on the body and orgasms. I believe that experiencing consistent orgasms is essential in developing self-esteem and sustaining a loving relationship. #3 Sex and art share many similarities. They both require skills that must be learned and practiced. America flaunts sex in the media and entertainment fields, but at the same time, our Puritan underpinnings show through when we avoid the most fundamental, real-life aspects of sexual pleasure. #4 The man-on-top intercourse depicted in my first dirty picture is not the preferred form of sexual expression. It is man, not God, who advocates the missionary position since it serves most men’s need to control the action that leads to male ejaculation.

America's Most Honest Memoir Betty Dodson's memoir is the story of one woman's struggle to liberate female sexuality while enjoying her own. In the 70s, as the feminist movement evolved, focusing on various platform issues including equal pay and voter registration, Betty latched on to sexual liberation as a symbol for self-empowerment. Realizing that so many women weren't enjoying sex, she asked, "How could women ever be truly equal if they were reliant on men for their sexual satisfaction?" She quickly became the leader of the sex-positive feminist movement. And the rest is history.

Dr. Dodson demonstrates how anyone can learn to make love alone with feelings of guilt or loneliness, and explains why masturbation is sexually and spiritually fulfilling for both men and women. Not only is it the safest sex, but sharing masturbation can also be a sensual treat for couples who want to learn more about each other’s sexual responses. Sex for One demonstrates that self-loving is not just for times in-between lovers or for social misfits. Masturbation is the joyful and ongoing love affair that each of us has with ourselves throughout childhood, adulthood, and the golden years of old age.

An ancient title of respect for women, the word “cunt” long ago veered off this noble path. Inga Muscio traces the road from honor to expletive, giving women the motivation and tools to claim “cunt” as a positive and powerful force in their lives. In this fully revised edition, she explores, with candidness and humor, such traditional feminist issues as birth control, sexuality, jealousy between women, and prostitution with a fresh attitude for a new generation of women. Sending out a call for every woman to be the Cuntlovin' Ruler of Her Sexual Universe, Muscio stands convention on its head by embracing all things cunt-related. This edition is fully revised with updated resources, a new foreword from sexual pioneer Betty Dodson, and a new afterword by the author. “Bright, sharp, empowering, long-lasting, useful, sexy....”—San Francisco Chronicle “... Cunt provides fertile ground for psychological growth.”—San Francisco Bay Guardian “Cunt does for feminism what smoothies did for high-fiber diets—it reinvents the oft-indigestible into something sweet and delicious.”—Bust Magazine

Betty Dodson ran Bodysex workshops for over 25 years. They grew out of the consciousness raising groups feminists started in the 1970's. Women would gather together and talk first person about their personal lives. Betty took it one step further and had women answer two questions: how do you feel about your body & how do you feel about your orgasm. She called her workshops "physical and sexual consciousness raising" which she later shortened to "Bodysex." Betty and Carlin filmed a workshop in 2011 and, based upon demand, started running groups again. It became clear that women wanted to run their own workshops following Betty's model of body pride, sisterhood, and independent orgasm. To date, we've certified 45 women to run workshops in 10 countries and 17 states. This book is a manual describing how to run a workshop from beginning to end. Our hope is that Bodysex spreads across the globe so that future generations of women can learn how to love themselves and their bodies

This volume highlights humour’s crucial role in shaping historical re-visions of the long nineteenth century, through modes ranging from subtle irony, camp excess, ribald farce, and aesthetic parody to blackly comic narrative games. It analyses neo-Victorian humour’s politicisation, its ideological functions and ethical implications across varied media, including fiction, drama, film, webcomics, and fashion. Contemporary humour maps the assumed distance between postmodernity and its targeted nineteenth-century referents only to repeatedly collapse the same in a seemingly self-defeating nihilistic project. This collection explores how neo-Victorian humour generates empathy and effective socio-political critique, dispensing symbolic justice, but also risks recycling the past’s invidious ideologies under the politically correct guise of comic debunking, even to the point of negating laughter itself. "This rich and innovative collection invites us to reflect on the complex and various deployments of humour in neo-Victorian texts, where its consumers may wish at times that they could swallow back the laughter a scene or event provokes. It covers a range of approaches to humour utilised by neo-Victorian writers, dramatists, graphic novelists and filmmakers – including the deliberately and pompously unfunny, the traumatic, the absurd, the ribald, and the frankly distasteful – producing a richly satisfying anthology of innovative readings of ‘canonical’ neo-Victorian texts as well as those which are potential generic outliers. The collection explores what is funny in the neo-Victorian and who we are laughing at – the Victorians, as we like to imagine them, or ourselves, in ways we rarely acknowledge? This is a celebration of the parodic playfulness of a wide range of texts, from fiction to fashion, whilst offering a trenchant critique of the politics of postmodern laughter that will appeal to those working in adaptation studies, gender and queer studies, as well as literary and cultural studies more generally." - Prof. Imelda Whelehan, University of Tasmania, Australia
