Every student has his or her thinking skills and understands a lesson in a different way. The change of the current technology will facilitate educators in preparing teaching activities to cater to the needs of the students. The type of the technology used is not as important as compared to the opportunity given to the students to use their intelligence in the classroom. Thus, the student will become more active and receptive to his or her learning. The theory of Multiple Intelligences (MI) is discussed in this book to verify whether MI has any impact on the teaching and learning in the classroom. This book focuses on facilitating educators by providing teaching aids based on MI activities. Thus, the educators can reduce the preparation time for the teaching aids. Indirectly, this can motivate the educators to apply online learning and attract students’ attention. In the end, academic achievement for the students can be improved and educators will be motivated to teach in the classroom via online. Each of the student is unique and has different ways of thinking and learning. This also applies to students in technical educations who have different potential and intelligences. Educators also have a variety of teaching styles that are closely related to students’ learning styles. Therefore, educators need to provide a variety of teaching approaches that match the intelligence of the students in the class. This book, then, is focusing on teaching tools utilized by all educators. Nowadays, the exposure to the appropriate technology should combine all materials, strategies and adopted current technology. Educators need to provide an effective teaching and quality classroom activities for their students. This will affect the style of learning and students’ perception to the tools used by the educators.

Excerpt from An Introduction to Statistical Methods: A d104book for College Students, a Manual for Statisticians and Business Executives The bibliographical aids at the close of the several chap ters are not meant to be inclusive, but are chosen because of their value to students and others as collateral reading. A discussion of certain of them along with the text treat ment, and in the light of the laboratory problems assigned, has proved helpful in the author's classes. I am indebted to Professor Willard E. Hotchkiss, for merly Dean of the Northwestern University School of Com merce, and to Professor John F. Hayford, Dean of the Northwestern University College of Engineering for read, ing parts of the manuscript and for offering many helpful suggestions for its improvement. Most of all I am indebted to my wife who has materially lightened the burden of proof reading, and who, at all stages in the preparation Of the vol ume, has been a constant source of encouragement. Since the first edition of this book appeared, computers have come to the aid of modern experimenters and data analysts, bringing with them data analysis techniques that were once beyond the calculational reach of even professional statisticians. Today, scientists in every field have access to the techniques and technology they need to analyze statistical data. All they need is practical guidance on how to use them. Valuable to everyone who produces, uses, or evaluates scientific data, Statistical Techniques for Data Analysis, Second Edition provides straightforward discussion of basic statistical techniques and computer analysis. The purpose, structure, and general principles of the book remain the same as the first edition, but the treatment now includes updates in every chapter, additional topics, and most importantly, an introduction to use of the MINITAB Statistical Software. The presentation of each technique includes motivation and discussion of the statistical analysis, a hand-calculated example, the same example calculated using MINITAB, and discussion of the MINITAB output and conclusions. Highlights of the Second Edition: " Detailed discussion and use of MINITAB in examples complete with code and output " A new chapter addressing proportions, time to event data, and time series data in the metrology setting " Additional material on hypothesis testing " Discussion of critical values " A look at mistakes commonly made in data analysis
