Excerpt from Society of St. Vincent De Paul: Report of the Superior Council of New York, to the Council General in Paris, for the Year 1882 For some years past the report has been closed September 30th, but as it was not in conformity with those of other conferences in other parts of the country, and as the Object in view in so doing was not attained, it has been thought best to hereafter conform to the practice elsewhere. A comparison with the returns in the last report may be made by the brief summary below, the explanation following showing where an increase was made by the additional quarter.
