Acts 9:17 reads, "Brother Saul, Jesus hath sent me, that thou mightest receive thy sight." Saul had his need met by a man that was directed by God; some say that was a chance encounter. Sowing Precious Seed offers an insight into the passion of Helen Berry. Helen has been moved to carry the gospel wherever life took her. Being a nurse she mingled with people in need. As a good sower, she "scattered the seed," and as an eager harvester she sought to "gather in," being always alert to her Master's cause. This book demonstrates the power inherent in the blending of a devout soul in tune with the Lord, together with a heart of love for the unsaved. It documents those impacted by their encounter with Helen, and it shows that God still directs those who have a heart burning for Him. There are unusual circumstances and amazing encounters, which could be deemed to be "chance meetings," but which are clearly seen to be the hand of God, still directing secretly but certainly. Let those who read this book take care; it will bring not just admiration with what God can do through a devoted life, but will change your attitude to prayer and witnessing. It exhibits a life consciously dedicated to our Lord, a life we all ought to be living. Pastor James McAlees, Grace Bible Church, Las Vegas, Nevada Helen has always been involved in the area of church planting. Presently, she is helping start a church in Las Vegas, Nevada. She is an accomplished pianist; faithfully using the talent God has given her for His glory. She currently is a Gospel for Asia volunteer and enjoys working with children in Good News Clubs with Child Evangelism. Helen has two grown sons, Rusty and David.

The ministry of author Eric Casto and the FourSmiles CrossWalk has touched the four corners of the earth through the kingdom principles of sowing seed. The cross Eric carries resembles a plow of the love of God, and the teams of evangelists who go with him are the planters of the gospel seed. He believes that faith the size of a seed has the power to remove mountains and to bring forth righteousness in the nations. In Bearing Precious Seed, Eric shares his life’s history and testimony regarding his missionary work and global evangelization. He describes Christ’s faithfulness to missions and His friendship to missionaries around the world who are endeavoring to fulfill the great commission. His recollections also recount a love story of faith and triumph in a quest to obey the Lord’s calling to foreign missions. Uplifting and enlightening, this personal narrative reveals one man’s perseverance to take hold of seed and to plant the nations with the Word of God.

This book consists of 50 poetic works that were inspired by the Holy Ghost during her early years of experiencing the manifest Presence of Jesus and walking with Him in the Spirit. It’s purpose is to share those moments of intimacy with God with all who would seek a living, vital relationship with Him and to awaken their spiritual senses and desire for a deeper and closer walk with Him for themselves. That they may realize that He is a God at hand and not afar off. And that the Kingdom of God is within you.

In this rare volume is Humphrey Hardwicke’s existing works. His first sermon was preached in his own day as, “The Difficulty of Zion’s Deliverance and Reformation.” It is taken from Psalm 126:5-6 where we find sowing in tears, but reaping in joy. Hardwicke’s explanation of this is nothing less than spiritually uplifting concerning what this means in relation to sowing the precious seeds of reformation in the church. Do we truly desire to see the church Reformed once again, and a new vigor of power infused into it to preach Christ to a dying world? Without heeding Hardwicke’s exhortation, and hearing his masterful picture of what the church ought to be “up and doing” before God, there will be no sowing and no reaping a new Reformation for today’s church. In the second half of the work we find, “The Saint’s Gain by Death,” and what it means to be assured of salvation from 2 Corinthians 5:1. The Christian is not to live in doubt, but in full assurance of faith, knowing we have a heavenly home which was made by God waiting for those he has saved. In this life our travail is frail, transitory, and perishing. In the life to come, it is blessed and eternal in the heavens. With certainty, Hardwicke explains that every converted heart and careful soul may and ought to be assured, that when his body shall be dissolved, his soul shall have a happy dwelling with God in heaven.
