On the basis of survey data and information supplied by post personnel, a concept design and cost estimates were prepared for a new consolidated washrack facility to replace existing on-post facilities. The recommended design incorporates hand-held, high-pressure/low-volume wash hoses for tracked vehicles and fixed-nozzle drive-through facilities for wheeled tactical equipment. The centralized wastewater treatment system proposed for the facility consists of a sedimentation basin equipped for mechanical free oil removal followed by filtration through a polishing filter.
