?Private sexual fantasy can preoccupy vast areas of a person's mental life, ? notes David Powlison. ?As explicit sexual images proliferate in films and magazines, on television, and over the Internet, the temptations increase and the bondage seems unbreakable. Even Christians can find that their lives have become a push-pull stuggle between indulging in fantasy and resisting it.? ?Is it really possible to slay the dragon of pornography and fantasy once it has gained control of your life asks Powlison. The answer is yes, as you will see from this interview with a man called Bob, who experienced Christ's deliverance in this part of his life.

I should have resisted him, but I was too weak to fight the devil himself. And Tyler Burnham is the devil. He used me. He lied to me. But he loved me. He still does. Mackenzie Delano never wants to hear the name Tyler Burnham again. Never wants to feel her soul ignite from his simple touch. Never wants to be reminded of how foolish she was to let him into her life and her heart. Unfortunately, it’s not as simple as she wishes. Not when he managed to do the one thing she never thought possible… He taught her how to love again. Except none of it was real. Or so she thinks... Tyler Burnham thought he experienced loss and heartache before, but that was nothing compared to the excruciating pain consuming him every minute of every day since he watched Mackenzie walk out of his life. As he tries to make peace with the role he played in betraying her trust, he tries to find a way to prove that his feelings for her are true. That the love they shared is real. That he would walk through fire to keep her at his side. That he would sacrifice it all...his career, his fortune, his life...to protect her. That he would gladly slay the dragons that have tormented her for too long now. As he digs deeper into the conspiracy surrounding her father and the tangled web of secrets unravels, he realizes he may just have to. Slaying the Dragon is the jaw-dropping conclusion to T.K. The real fight is the one you can't see. The supernatural realm is very real, and it directly impacts our day-to-day lives. Often spiritual battles lie behind our everyday struggles. Though the spiritual world is invisible, we are not unaware of the enemy's schemes. Through God's Word and the power of the Holy Spirit we are equipped to be more than conquerors through Christ! With doctrinally sound, practical teaching, Slaying Dragons shows how the demonic realm fits into orthodox thoughts on salvation, redemption, and kingdom life. Daniel Kolenda demystifies spiritual warfare to shine light on what the enemy is doing in readers' lives and what they can do to slay every dragon they encounter. It also contains real-world examples of encounters with spiritual darkness, demonstrating examples of how "the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it" (John 1:5, NIV). It's easy to lose sight of the big picture as we focus on our everyday struggles. But our daily battles are part of a much bigger war, and we have been given all we need to win. Slaying Dragons will show readers what the enemy is trying to accomplish and how they can slay every dragon they encounter--in their lives and in the world. This book will teach you to see and overcome the spiritual battles behind your everyday struggles. Also Available in Spanish ISBN: 978-1-62999-283-9 Other Books by Daniel Kolenda: Live Before You Die (2013) ISBN: 978-1616387167

My name is Lexi Helyanwe and I am a Dragon. Well actually I am part Dragon, part Elf, with twist of Lust Demon thrown in. I too was bioengineered by my parents, whose goal is to save the Dragon race and maybe the Elves, too. Of course if that secret gets out it's likely I'll end up sliced and diced on a stainless steel table in some underground lab. My Father somehow managed to break the DNA code and engineer ten male Dragons and little ol' me. Not great odds when your goal is to save an entire race, but someone had killed his partners and trashed his lab. He'd had no choice but to go into hiding, which ultimately prevented any more experimentation. Lucky for me no one knew that Mom had been inseminated and I was already on a path that would lead me to this room some twenty five years later. Up until recently I'd managed to live a quiet life in which I was a mild mannered manual writer during the day. However, my nights were a different matter entirely. During the wee hours of the night I liked to skip through the highways and byways of the seedy part of town, working to ensure decent folk were safe from the local non-human underbelly inhabiting San Francisco. This just happened to be one of the reasons why at this exact moment I was sitting in the conference room surrounded by the heads of the most prominent non-human crime organizations. Of course none of them know I'm the one they're looking for, except of course Jace and Gareth. But then, it was their conference room and their meeting.

In How to Kill a Dragon Calvert Watkins follows the continuum of poetic formulae in Indo-European languages, from Old Hittite to medieval Irish. He uses the comparative method to reconstruct traditional poetic formulae of considerable complexity that stretch as far back as the original common language. Thus, Watkins reveals the antiquity and tenacity of the Indo-European poetic tradition. Watkins begins this study with an introduction to the field of comparative Indo-European poetics; he explores the Saussurian notions of synchrony and diachrony, and locates the various Indo-European traditions and ideologies of the spoken word. Further, his overview presents case studies on the forms of verbal art, with selected texts drawn from Indic, Iranian, Greek, Latin, Hittite, Armenian, Celtic, and Germanic languages. In the remainder of the book, Watkins examines in detail the structure of the dragon/serpent-slaying myths, which recur in various guises throughout the Indo-European poetic tradition. He finds the "signature" formula for the myth--the divine hero who slays the serpent or overcomes adversaries--occurs in the same linguistic form in a wide range of sources and over millennia, including Old and Middle Iranian holy books, Greek epic, Celtic and Germanic sagas, down to Armenian oral folk epic of the last century. Watkins argues that this formula is the vehicle for the central theme of a proto-text, and a central part of the symbolic culture of speakers of the Proto-Indo-European language: the relation of humans to their universe, the values and expectations of their society. Therefore, he further argues, poetry was a social necessity for Indo- European society, where the poet could confer on patrons what they and their culture valued above all else: "imperishable fame."

This is the third book to be published from the vaults of the Van Helsing family library and presents the accumulated wisdom of Adelia Van Helsing. The first female Van Helsing to take up the sword and do battle with the denizens of Hell, Adelia lived some seven centuries ago. Dragon Hunter’s Handbook is in fact a prequel to both Demon and Vampire Hunter, and like these two books it weaves practical advice about combating dragons with a journal of Adelia's most terrifying encounters. Within these pages are notes on identifying different types of dragon, proven tactics for defeating them, effective weaponry and armor, and how to find their lairs. Interwoven with this useful information is the tale of Adelia’s battle against the most terrifying foe of her career, a dragon simply known as “The Ancient.” Traveling to a remote Tibetan village she discovers that far from being a dwindling threat, dragons are regrouping and are about to unleash monstrous revenge on the human race. Faced with a power even she cannot resist, she summons the dragon’s most fearsome opponent, the servants of hell. But no Van Helsing makes a pact with the devil without consequences, and in the final act of dispatching The Ancient, her brother Caspar, is dragged through hell’s portal to a life of torment. wordcount:

Be prepared to slay your Marriage Dragons! Anyone who is married, or is planning on being married, will one day encounter one of the Marriage Dragons named in this book. It is important for married couples to realize how a Marriage Dragon will attack you and your spouse. By using basic principles based on Scripture, a Marriage Dragon can be defeated, and your marriage can be stronger and better than ever. You should never fear a Marriage Dragon as God is always walking ahead of you in your battle. He will lead the way for you! If you are single, this book is for you too. By understanding how a Marriage Dragon attacks, you will have a better grasp on how to defeat them biblically once you enter into a marriage covenant. Marriage Dragons can be devastating if they are not dealt with quickly. The longer they are left alone or ignored, the more damage can and will occur to your marriage. Some of this damage can take months, or possibly even longer, to repair what the dragon has done. In each chapter, a different Marriage Dragon will be examined, so you will have an understanding of how to recognize them, defeat them, and have a stronger marriage. As each dragon acts and responds differently, learning to slay the different dragons will take prayer, faith, understanding, and, most importantly, a reliance on God to help you in your defense against any of these dragons. Are you ready to defeat any of the Marriage Dragons that may be attacking your marriage? Are you ready to grab God's Word and the hand of your spouse, and head into battle? If so, read through this book and see how God wants you to win your fight!
