In SkyRoom, novelist Larry Gaudet tells the Shobac story in a new genre that he calls magic architectural realism, blending fact with historical fiction in presenting the lives of early inhabitants and visitors to the area, including Champlain, a Mi'kmaq mystic, an Acadian carpenter and other lively characters whose ghostly presence swirl in the untold myths of this coastal Shangri-La. More provocatively, Gaudet orchestrates imaginary conversations between Mackay-Lyons and legendary figures in architecture - Frank Lloyd Wright, Mies Van Der Rohe, Louis Kahn, Charles Moore and others - all towards providing a novel perspective on what goes into building communities and homes worth living in. SkyRoom also addresses an undiagnosed problem of consequence in our culture: widespread architectural illiteracy, the impact of which seeds the landscape in ugliness, consumes resources unsustainably, and ultimately degrades community and individual wellbeing.

All of us want to be happy; it's a given. We all set out in search of it. Some of us find it, and others are diverted by the responsibilities of life, placated by its possessions or simply disillusioned by its tragedies, but we all have an internal dialogue that can be brutally honest with us when needed, and then whether or not we listen to it can determine whether we adjust course and find what we are looking for ... or lose our way completely. Sarah Chadwick is a single parent and an English teacher in a deprived, inner-city area. Her pursuit of happiness has been shelved for so long by her heavy responsibilities at home and at work that it has ceased to seem important. She has become a tick box robot. Despite thinking she is an optimist, she is worn out and old before her time, burned out from caring for others. Her internal dialogue is trying to gain her commitment to change before she goes under altogether. Rick Masters, movie star, has all of the things most people on the planet are busy chasing. He is isolated by them; these things have cost him happiness, which he doesn't really believe exists any longer; he doesn't trust others who say it does exist. His internal dialogue is driven by such pessimistic disenchantment that he has a growing drinking problem just to get some peace. This is the story of what happens when these two lives cross unexpectedly, and what results is only part farce. It is also part tragedy because neither has any insight or understanding into the world of the other. Three days will tell whether either of them have the courage to change, abandon their pasts, and embrace a new future.

Flash Gordon was originally a comic strip by Alex Raymond[?], first published in 1934. It was made into a movie serial in 1936, and followed by sequels and a television series. The 1980 film is remembered mainly for its music, which was provided by Queen. The comics and movies followed the adventures of Flash Gordon, for whom the series was named, and his companions Dr. Hans Zarkov[?] and Dale Arden[?]. The story begins with Dr. Zarkov's invention of a rocket ship, in which the three of them make a journey to the planet Mongo[?] where they are stranded. Mongo is inhabited by a number of different cultures, some quite technologically advanced, that have been falling one by one under the domination of the vicious tyrant Ming the Merciless[?]. The three Earthpeople are befriended shortly after their arrival by Prince Barin, rightful heir to the throne that Ming has taken. Ming banishes Prince Barin and his followers - including Ming's own daughter, Aura, Barin's bride - to the forest realm of Arboria, and the three join in Barin's quest to topple Ming.

This book aims to provide sustainable solutions for better understanding and management of online education in different parts of the world. In this context, it explores the attitudes and perceptions of stakeholders, such as students, faculty, and other actors on issues related to online education. In particular, it examines the challenges they have faced over the years when online courses were introduced due to the COVID-19 pandemic. A model is proposed that includes five variables: specific communication issues in online education, the ability of professors to offer online courses, the quality of online education, students' perceived stress during online education, and the technical requirements of online education. The book will be of interest to anyone concerned with the new and future ways of teaching and learning.
