Although Sam is a still-not-full-grown salmon, he stands out from the rest of the crowd: a family of dolphins has adopted him. His bubble-brother, Dave, a juvenile Bottle Nosed Dolphin, is also Sams best bubble-buddy. They now set out on an adventure unlike anything they have known before. An adventure that stretches loyalty to breaking point, where friendships are forged in unusual places, and where attachments are formed and some are broken. There is guppy-love and jeopardy, humour, fear, stress, games, pursuit, intimidation, fun and plenty of surprises along the way. The bubble-buddies, through no fault of their own, get caught up in a plot of revenge: they are kidnapped, rescued, almost eaten, and just when they thought it was all over, war erupts. Where experienced politicians, diplomats and soldiers fail, our unlikely pair of heroes saves the day. Follow your imagination and meet to an amazingly eloquent swordfish, an irritated octopus, roguish hammer-head sharks, a sight to fright, and a fun-loving over educated blue whale. And thats just the beginning: there are battalions of barracuda, pirate Viper-Fish, rogue sharks, military manta rays, and schools of diplomacy. Enter into this fascinating world and join the bubble-buddies on an underwater adventure.

“He Was A Survivor,” is a historical and human drama of the first order centered around the ethos of an ordinary person, Robert Crew. Due to the fact that he was at Pearl Harbor on December 7, 1941; Crew is propelled out-of-a basic existence and onto the forefront of a national veterans organization; The Pearl Harbor Survivors. Crew who physically survived the attack on Pearl Harbor and the Second World War, like so many veterans; in a mental - in a spiritual - sense he does not. The shadows of the war come up from the past and overtake him. “He Was A Survivor,” adheres to the strict no-nonsense historical line. Little known aspects of the United States Navy of the nineteen twenties and thirties are incorporated into the story. Obscure realities about what took place prior to and during the attack appear here for the first time. Most of the individuals who have made this story possible have passed away and many of the geographic areas no longer exist. It took more than a quarter century to research and formulate this story. Hence it would be impossible to write, “He Was A Survivor,” today.

Pity poor Captain Alan Lewrie, Royal Navy! He's been wind-muzzled for weeks in Portsmouth, snugly tucked into a warm shore bed with lovely, and loving, Lydia Stangbourne, a Viscount's daughter, and beginning to enjoy indulging his idle streak, when Admiralty tears Lewrie away and order him to the Bahamas, into the teeth of ferocious winter storms. It's enough to make a rakehell such as he weep and kick furniture! At least his new orders allow Lewrie to form a small squadron from what ships he can dredge up at Bermuda and New Providence and hoist his first broad pendant, even if it is the lesser version, and style himself a Commodore. Lewrie is to scour the shores of Cuba and Spanish Florida, the Keys and the Florida Straits in search of French and Spanish privateers which have been taking British merchantmen at an appalling rate, and call upon neutral American seaports to determine if privateers are getting aid and comfort from that quarter. Lewrie is to be "Diplomatic." Diplomatic? Lewrie? Not bloody likely! To solve the problem and find the answers will put Lewrie in touch with old friends, old foes, and more frustration than a dog has fleas. As usual, though, Captain Alan Lewrie will find his own unique way to fulfill his duties, and in the doing, find some fun in his own irrepressible manner! Reefs and Shoals is the 18th installment in the Alan Lewrie series, from Dewey Lambdin, "The brilliantly stylish American master of salty-tongued British naval tales" (Kirkus Reviews).

The Lou Conter Story: From USS Arizona Survivor to Unsung American Hero tells the incredible story of one of the last remaining survivors of the USS Arizona. More than just a recollection of the events that transpired in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii, on December 7, 1941, this book also records the author's memorable experiences before and after the Day of Infamy. Conter was on the USS Arizona deck when a Japanese armor-piercing bomb hit one million pounds of gunpowder stored in the ship's hull. He helped rescue crewmen following the explosion and dove into the wreckage to recover bodies in the days after. In 1942, Conter went to flight school where he earned his wings and became a VP-11 Black Cat pilot. He helped rescue over two hundred Australian Coastwatchers stranded in northern New Guinea and was shot down twice -- once swimming with his crew while sharks circled. Conter also helped rescue over two hundred Australian shore watchers up the Sepik River in New Guinea. After World War II, he became an intelligence officer, flew combat in Korea, created the Navy's first SERE program (survival, evasion, resistance, and escape), and served as a military advisor to presidents Eisenhower, Kennedy, and Johnson. Lou Conter shares his Pearl Harbor experiences with high school students throughout Northern California, and he returns to the USS Arizona every December to take part in National Pearl Harbor Remembrance Day activities to honor and remember the 2,403 service members and civilians who were killed during the Japanese attack at Pearl Harbor. In 2019, Conter was one of only three remaining crew members out of the 335 who had survived the attack on the USS Arizona. He was the only survivor able to attend the memorial event.
