The haiku poem, in many ways, is the ancient equivalent of today's digital camera. See, write, capture. Anything at all. Beauty, horror, passion and death. Anything we see or feel or sense or know. In seventeen sounds we can describe virtually all that life can manifest. In this collection of very modern haiku Scott Mulhern has pointed his pen at a vast array of persons, places, conditions and things.

Download Coffee, Black Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
A man wrestling with death, believes he has left no mark on the world, but the world around him views things differently. Two strangers arrive in a small town – one bringing evil, the other embracing the townsfolk. “Look Him In The Eye, Then Shoot to Kill (If You Can)” provides a compelling argument against hunting. When Gerry sees a rat … well, the fun explodes around him. John Ramsay was a real life native Canadian who singlehandedly rescued an ill-fated Icelandic settlement, but who was “rewarded” with a shared coffee from a coffee sock. Ever wear two different socks to an important meeting? Imagine the worst possible consequences … These, and other short stories revolve around the simple cup of coffee, in “Coffee, Black.” As a special bonus, the novella, “Disabilities” is included in Coffee, Black. Yes, it is a collection of short stories, but once you begin to read, you will be unable to put down the book until you have read all of them. And, there’s more. Link up with the author and be part of the “never-ending stories” club. Receive a new short story every month, for a minimum of 36 months. That’s three years of great coffee, black.

Download Eight Edges You Must Have Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Why investors lose money and how NOT to Wall Street makes it easy to jump into the game of trading. After all, they love taking your money. Trading without proper preparation could be a windfall for your broker, but fatal for your account. In this e-book, bestselling financial writer and trading expert Van K. Tharp shares eight essential rules that will help you NOT lose your shirt and even make a profit in the world of trading. In Eight Edges You Must Have: Your Written Trading Plan, Van K. Tharp explains that success in the markets takes the same amount of—perhaps even more—work, study, and commitment that any other profession requires. For those people who are committed to learn how to trade properly, who do the obligatory work and possess the necessary talents, it is quite possible to make a lot of money in the market in the long run. To that end, he outlines the eight key reasons why people lose money in their trading and investing and shows how to avoid them. Lists the eight essential reasons people fail at trading—from the fact that you're playing Wall Street's game to the common misconception that trading is technical when in fact, it’s 100% psychological Written by recognized trading expert Van K. Tharp, bestselling author of Trade Your Way to Financial Freedom Reveals the secrets of trading psychology that can give traders a significant advantage Utilizing charts and solid data throughout the book, Tharp arms traders with eight essential rules to follow to protect themselves from falling into the traps awaiting the poorly prepared and to maximize their potential for coming out winners in the game of the trade.

Download Mathematical Models and Numerical Methods for Full Wave Analysis of Prolate and Oblate Spheroidal Conformal Microwave Components Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Conformal components are used nowadays at higher rate than ever before. They can be found in curved mobile phones, communication, navigation, and imaging systems in land, water, air, and space vehicles. The integration of those components within the external structure became of significant importance for aerodynamic, electromagnetic, aesthetic, or physical reasons. As a result, many mathematical models were previously developed to analyze and optimize such conformed devices. In this thesis, we contributed to this field by developing various models for full wave analysis of spheroidal components. As a starting point, mathematical formulas for conforming antennas on oblate and prolate spheroids were obtained. Those conformation methods were validated by conforming many antennas on spheroidal surfaces. They were then used to formulate Method of Moments equations with spheroidally curved current functions for analyzing wire antennas of random shape conformed to spheroids in the frequency domain. The complete model was applied to a conformal Archimedean spiral antenna on an oblate spheroid and showed that the conformed spiral has similar current distribution as its planar counterpart but produces an unsymmetrical radiation pattern. The obtained model was then extended to spheroidal multi-layer structures by integrating the spheroidal dyadic Green’s Function within its mathematical derivation. However, due to a detected divergence in that function, the model couldn’t be implemented. On the side of time based analysis methods, a Finite Difference Time Domain method was developed for closed oblate and prolate spheroidal structures. Alternative formulas for the structure’s singularities and the condition of numerical stability were derived as well. The obtained model was then validated and used to characterize spheroidal cavities in the time and frequency domains. The method was extended later to unbounded spheroidal domain by deriving the Absorbing Boundary Conditions using the One Way Wave method. The whole model was then applied to characterize a patch antenna conformed to a prolate spheroid. Finally, an analytical solution for the transient fields in spherical multilayer media energized by spherical harmonics source and an algorithm for tracing back the path of all the reflected waves were obtained. The model was applied to different multilayer structures where the transient response was obtained and validated against a numerical solution.

Download Cutting-Edge Research Topics on Multiple Criteria Decision Making Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
MCDM 2009, the 20th International Conference on Multiple-Criteria Decision M- ing, emerged as a global forum dedicated to the sharing of original research results and practical development experiences among researchers and application developers from different multiple-criteria decision making-related areas such as multiple-criteria decision aiding, multiple criteria classification, ranking, and sorting, multiple obj- tive continuous and combinatorial optimization, multiple objective metaheuristics, multiple-criteria decision making and preference modeling, and fuzzy multiple-criteria decision making. The theme for MCDM 2009 was “New State of MCDM in the 21st Century.” The conference seeks solutions to challenging problems facing the development of multiple-criteria decision making, and shapes future directions of research by prom- ing high-quality, novel and daring research findings. With the MCDM conference, these new challenges and tools can easily be shared with the multiple-criteria decision making community. The workshop program included nine workshops which focused on different topics in new research challenges and initiatives of MCDM. We received more than 350 submissions for all the workshops, out of which 121 were accepted. This includes 72 regular papers and 49 short papers. We would like to thank all workshop organizers and the Program Committee for the excellent work in maintaining the conference’s standing for high-quality papers.
