This dissertation describes a search for the associated production of the supersymmetric particles, the chargino and the neutralino, through their R-parity conserving decays to three leptons and missing energy. This search is carried out using the data collected at the CDF experiment at the Tevatron (square root)s = 1.96 TeV p{bar p} collider at Fermilab. The results are obtained by combining five independent channels with varying signal to background ratio. Overall, a total of 6.4 ± 1.1 background events from standard model processes and 11.4 ± 1.1 signal events for a particular choice of mSUGRA model parameters are expected. The observation of 7 events in data is consistent with the standard model background expectation, and the mSUGRA model is constrained. Limits are set on the cross section of Chargino-Neutralino pair production, and a limit on the mass of the chargino is extracted. A method of obtaining model-independent results is also discussed.

This dissertation describes a search for the associated production of the supersymmetric particles, the chargino and the neutralino, through their R-parity conserving decays to three leptons and missing energy. This search is carried out using the data collected at the CDF experiment at the Tevatron's = 1.96 TeV p-anti-p collider at Fermilab. The results are obtained by combining five independent channels with varying signal to background ratio. Overall, a total of 6.4 [plus minus] 1.1 background events from standard model processes and 11.4 [plus minus] 1.1 signal events for a particular choice of mSUGRA model parameters are expected. The observation of 7 events in data is consistent with the standard model background expectation, and the mSUGRA model is constrained. Download Search for Supersymmetry in Trilepton Final States with the D0 Detector Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
The data taken by the D0 experiment at the proton-antiproton collider Tevatron has been used to search for signatures with two or more leptons and missing transverse energy as they are expected for the decay of pair produced Charginos and Neutralinos. No excess above the Standard Model prediction has been observed and the results have been used to set mass limits for these particles.

This annual SUSY conference has become the world's largest international meeting devolted to new ideas in high energy physics. The main subject of the conference is theoretical and phenomenological aspects of supersymmetric theories, and dark matter and dark energy, and other comological connections. New, interesting results from various experimental groups are increasingly presented at the conference as well. With roughly 200 plenary and parallel presentations, SUSY08 will likely deliver energy and enthusiasm of both theorists and experimentalists who are searching the frontier of high energy physics.

Download Perspectives on Supersymmetry II Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
This volume begins with an excellent pedagogical introduction to the physics and methods and formalism of supersymmetry which is accessible to anyone with a basic knowledge of the Standard Model of particle physics. Next is an overview of open questions, followed by chapters on topics such as how to detect superpartners and tools for studying them, the current limits on superpartner masses as we enter the LHC era, the lightest superpartner as a dark matter candidate in thermal and non-thermal cosmological histories, and associated Z'physics. Most chapters have been extended and updated from the earlier edition and some are new. --

Download Journeys Through The Precision Frontier: Amplitudes For Colliders (Tasi 2014) - Proceedings Of The 2014 Theoretical Advanced Study Institute In Elementary Particle Physics Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
This volume is a compilation of the lectures at TASI 2014. The coverage focuses on modern calculational techniques for scattering amplitudes, and on the phenomenology of QCD in hadronic collisions. Introductions to flavor physics, dark matter, and physics beyond the Standard Model are also provided. The lectures are accessible to graduate students at the initial stages of their research careers.

Download Searches for Supersymmetry at the Tevatron Book in PDF, ePub and Kindle
Both Tevatron experiments, D0 and CDF, have searched for signs of Supersymmetry in the present Run II data sample, using integrated luminosities of up to 260 pb{sup -1} collected in p{bar p} collisions at a center-of-mass energy of 1.96 TeV. In these proceedings, new results are presented in the search for squarks and gluinos in the jets and missing transverse energy final state, associated production of charginos and neutralinos with multilepton final states, search for the rare decay B{sub s} {yields} {mu}{mu}, searches allowing R-parity violation (muons+jets, multileptons), and searches in the gauge mediated supersymmetry breaking framework with the final state of two photons and missing transverse energy. In the absence of any significant deviation from Standard Model expectations, limits on the presence of new physics are set, which in many cases are the most stringent to date.
