Ancestors of William John Schaefer (1910-1981), son of William John Schaefer, the German immigrant and Amelia Kirchner of Rockville, Connecticut. He married Marian Bessie Kent (1916-1981), daughter of Walter Reginald Kent and Elsie Eva Morrell. She was born in Flint, Michigan. Samuel Kent (d.1802) married Jane Cabel, and lived in Sturminster Marshall, Dorset County, England when their son, Thomas Kent (b.1771), was born. Walter Reginald Kent (1895-1986), direct descendant of Samuel and Jane in the sixth generation, immigrated from England to Flint, Michigan. He married Elsie Eva Morrell, and settled in Rockville, Connecticut. Much more Kent ancestry in England is included than Schaefer ancestry in Germany. Descendants live in New England, New York, Michigan, Montana and elsewhere.
