Reports that his three youngest children have passed through the measles, and that two of his other children (Henry Jackson and Lucy) have a fever. Asks if Ogden, who operates the Delaware Works, has sent Samuel Shaw's iron to Boston. Asks how he should reply to a letter from James Webber, a London merchant, who wishes to collect a debt owed to him by Ogden. In a post script, comments on the sale of Colonel [Alexander] Hamilton's St. Lawrence lands at a low price to [Alexander] Macomb. Adds that he declined the same offer for his lands. Asks if Gouverneur might be able to sell the land for a better price while he is in England.
