Excerpt from Rules and Regulations of the Department of Health of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania: Adopted Under the Provisions of the Act of April 27, 1905 to October 1, 1907 Provided Further, That when a vacancy shall be known to exist in the position of health officer in any towns-hip, the report of such cases occurring within the limits of said township shall be made directly to the State Department of Health. Physicians or others in charge of hospitals situated in cities or boroughs shall report cases of diseases hereinafter specified occur ring in cities and boroughs to. The respective local boards or bureaus of health or sanitary committees of such cities or boroughs, daily, and shall report all such cases of communicable diseases received from territory outside of cities or boroughs to the State Department of Health at Harrisburg cat the end of each week. Provided, That in any city or borough not having-a board of health or bureau of health or sanitary committee, the report of such cases occurring within the limits of said city or borough shall be made directly to the Department of Health.
