Eleven year old Rosie lives with her family and pet dog Toby along Brambles Lane, in the village of Woodbury. She forms a friendship with a tree fairy, who has lost her way. Lily first appears to Rosie as a sparkling light, who is able to communicate with her. Lily comes in contact with a community of Tree Fairies, living in a village at the top of an Ancient Oak Tree outside Rosie's home. But the fairies lives are threatened, when the tree is infected with a disease. Rosie and Lily try to save the fairies, by making a model village in Rosie's bedroom as temporary accommodation . In doing so they encounter Wanda, a wicked witch, intent on taking over the fairy village. In assisting the fairies, Rosie is given powers enabling her to reduce in size and become invisible to humans. When Lily is captured by the witch, Rosie comes to the rescue with the help of Sneaky the spider. In order to regain the fairy village, Rosie and Lily fly off in a chariot pulled by a dragonfly to the land of the Thistle, to seek the help of the magical horses and Silvous the unicorn. During their quest they rescue Jamie Mc Donald, a little fawn, who guides them through a forest of swarming bees, to the enchanted waterfall. Ending in a battle between witches and fairies, with the help of animal friends. The story contains enchantment, intrigue, and is full of humour.

For fans of HBO’s The Gilded Age, explore the dazzling world of America’s 19th century elite in this lush, page-turning saga… As Ireland enters the twentieth century, two girls—close friends yet from different worlds—navigate their journeys into womanhood in this sweeping novel. On a June morning in 1900, Rosie Killeen crosses the road that divides her family's County Mayo farm from the estate of Lord and Lady Ennis. Barely eight years old, Rosie joins the throng of servants who maintain the “big house.” But even more momentous for Rosie ins her chance meeting with the Ennis's lonely young daughter, Victoria Bell. Though the children of the gentry seldom fraternize with locals, Lord Ennis arranges for Rosie to join in Victoria's school lessons. For Rosie, the opportunity is exhilarating yet isolating. Victoria's governess objects to teaching a peasant girl, while the other servants resent Rosie's escape from life below stairs. To complicate matters further, Rosie finds herself growing closer to Victoria's older brother, Valentine. The girls' friendship is interrupted when Victoria is sent to Dublin for the coming season. But Ireland is changing too. The country's struggle for Home Rule, the outbreak of the Great War, and a looming Easter rebellion all herald a new era. And for Rosie, family loyalty, love, friendship and patriotism will all collide in life-changing ways, leading her through heartbreak and loss in search of her own triumphant independence.

Rosie worries that she isn't really a fairy. Dandelions and other beautiful flowers make her sneeze, she's clumsy, she doesn't like to fly, and she knows she isn't pretty like the other fairies or her beautiful mama. Maybe she's a troll who was left under a rock. Seeking answers, Rosie leaves home to meet not only a mean troll, but nervous garden tillies, who are afraid of catagnomes with their headlight eyes and pitchfork hands. Witch Darlene, looking for her little girl, snatches Rosie from the catagnomes and takes her to her gingerbread house for dinner. Rosie escapes but gets stuck on a tree limb, where she meets a genie, who tells knock-knock jokes. But no one can help Rosie find out who she really is until Marigold and her Aunt Brucie get an idea, and the Queen of the fairies makes a demand that changes Rosie's life. This is the second Fairyland Fable in what's expected to become a trilogy about three fairy friends, Marigold, Rosie, and Blossom. The author has vast experience with the woodland creatures and knows many of their stories, and while some people might think fairies are imaginary, one never knows when a real one may come along, the way angels do. Like fairies, the author has lived forever, and will continue to do so as long as children believe.
