This book is intended to be utilized as if it were a coach guiding you through the maze of personal financial literacy options available. The romantic parallelism is intended as an extra point of reference. It is ironic that these are two elements of life, romance and finance, that virtually everyone will deal with at some point. Not only do they not have traditional means of practical education, they are almost taboo to talk about even in polite conversation. Too many of us learn about these two important elements of life in a haply, catch as one can type of way. Everyone has had some form of a love life or dreams of having one. Everyone desires to be at least financially stable if not rich. The hope of this book is to illustrate a relationship between love life and financial life so that the reader can be even more inspired to improve their financial literacy, and perhaps spice up their love life too. It is often misquoted in the Bible when people say money is the root of all evil. It actually states the love of money. We emphasize the difference between the love of money and the use of money as a tool. We dont discount the importance of money in our everyday lives, therefore, the need for proper management of it, but we want everyone to understand the importance of other qualities in life such as character development, morality, and of course love. In other words, as important as money is, it is not everything. Money is a great tool, but a poor master. This book looks to change mindsets. We want to think that money is not the root of all evil . . . but living in poverty is evil when you can do better.

Because just like any other relationship, your life with money has its ups and downs, its twists and turns, its breakups and makeups. And just like other relationships, living happily with money really comes down to love—which is why love is the basis of money maven Kate Northrup’s book. After taking the Money Love Quiz to see where on the spectrum your relationship with money stands—somewhere between "on the outs" and "it’s true love!"—Northrup takes you on a rollicking ride to a better understanding of yourself and your money. Step-by-step exercises that address both the emotional and practical aspects of your financial life help you figure out your personal perceptions of money and wealth and how to change them for the better. After healing her own unhealthy relationship with money, and transforming her financial disaster into prosperity and security, Karen McCall created a recovery program she has now used for more than twenty years to help individuals, couples, and businesses large and small. In the midst of her money troubles, she saw a need for something other than financial planners, accountants, and credit counselors. These experts could tell her what she should be doing differently, but she needed someone to help her understand the underlying causes of chronic, self-defeating overspending and credit card debt, underearning, and low or no savings. To save herself, she created practical, holistic tools that address these sources of pain and shame. McCall’s program supports people as they uncover their deep-seated attitudes about money; provides simple, step-by-step tools for healing areas of physical, emotional, and spiritual deprivation; and teaches skills and strategies for experiencing lasting personal and financial fulfillment even in the midst of economic challenges and reversals.

Oya and Goldash have a very special, loving relationship. Their extraordinary love affair is ended by tragedy after just twenty-one months, and his life falls apart. After that, when he gives up on everything and lets himself go, Mili, a psychic and doctor of finance, comes into his life. He has a new beginning and works hard to bring rhythm and rhyme to his life to become a prosperous poet. This novel is based on a true story of a man coming to terms with having to rebuild his life from scratch. It shows how he copes with the comedies and tragedies presented to him as he slowly but surely moves onwards and upwards. The story tells of the remarkable people he meets on the long, lonely road to becoming a happy and wealthy man, and how they all help and support him in his endeavour to achieve the goal he has set himself. It tells a very honest story that will touch the hearts of readers and listeners from all walks of life, and will make them both laugh and cry before they reach the end.

Addressing the common reasons people don't discuss personal finances in detail and in-depth with their partner, this unique approach to managing money goes beyond the superficial to the substantial and significant conversations couples should have about money. In part one, personal profiles of 19 women reflect the financial and emotional challenges every woman, to some degree, eventually faces when the relationships she has with herself, her money, and her mate converge. The second section reviews key individual thoughts, behavior, and expectations concerning money and examines how these affect the expectations of a significant other. The love-and-money dance is the focus of the third part, providing a framework for asking questions and exchanging information that allow any couple to know and understand each other's personal financial history. Assessing and improving the emotional impact of managing money in a romantic relationship, this guidebook elevates the conversation about money and provides women with the tools to take the lead.
