Volume Two Collection of the bestselling Riverford Shifters series continues with three more tales of steamy romance, shifter clan intrigue, and adventure! Follow Nolan, Maxim, and Ryder as they continue to delve deeper into the machinations of the lion clans and the mystery of Kylie's missing parents and find love along the way in the most unexpected places. BOOK 3: RESCUED? BY THE WOLF (NOVELLA) When Rogue lion shifter, Tori, jumps into the truck of an annoyingly hot wolf shifter she mistakes for human, lifelong hostilities and self-restraint are tested as they flee from the lions in pursuit tasked by her clan's Alpha to drag her back to a fate worse than death. BOOK 4: TEMPTED BY THE TIGER Sometimes, finding love doesn't mean having to forget the past... It's been a year since the rescue operation launched against the lions' compound of horrors, and not only is Kylie no closer to finding out the fate of her parents, but she soon learns that the lions are close to finding the location of her mother's clan, pushing Hunter and her to leave for Great Britain to search for the clan's location and a person from her mother's past in order to warn them. However, after two weeks pass without so much as a text from the couple, Maxim Clarke follows in their wake where it soon becomes apparent that he isn't the only one interested in finding his missing friends, nor is he as recovered from the tragedy of what happened to Anna as he had thought. BOOK 5: TEMPTED BY THE — LION? After a harrowing adventure in London, Kylie and family are finally able to meet up with the Alpha of her mother's shifter clan. However, not only does the meeting have an outcome none of them expect, but promising news from Riverford about the potential whereabouts of Kylie's mother has everyone rushing back stateside. Hunter's brother, Ryder, along with several old and new allies are soon dispatched to investigate a genetics research company in Los Angeles where he meets Charlotte, a human geneticist for the LA lion clan that could very well be the key to not only learning the fate of Kylie's parents but also learning the purpose of the lion clans' secret Amarillo compound. Ryder just needs to sneak a woman he's not sure they can trust out of the city with the whole LA lion clan snapping at their heels, all while his jaguar soul is far too interested in mating her. Easy, right? Contains mature content and language. The twelfth-century French poet Chrétien de Troyes is a major figure in European literature. His courtly romances fathered the Arthurian tradition and influenced countless other poets in England as well as on the continent. Yet because of the difficulty of capturing his swift-moving style in translation, English-speaking audiences are largely unfamiliar with the pleasures of reading his poems. Now, for the first time, an experienced translator of medieval verse who is himself a poet provides a translation of Chrétien’s major poem, Yvain, in verse that fully and satisfyingly captures the movement, the sense, and the spirit of the Old French original. Yvain is a courtly romance with a moral tenor; it is ironic and sometimes bawdy; the poetry is crisp and vivid. In addition, the psychological and the socio-historical perceptions of the poem are of profound literary and historical importance, for it evokes the emotions and the values of a flourishing, vibrant medieval past.
