Philip Mantle is one of the UK's best known UFO researchers. He entered into UFO research and investigation in 1980 when he joined the Yorkshire UFO Society (YUFOS) which had its HQ in the city of Leeds, West Yorkshire, just a few miles from where he lived. In later years he would go on to join the British UFO Research Association (BUFORA) and the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON). In 2015 he founded Flying Disk Press, a one man book publishing endeavour which has now published over 30 books. During his time as an active UFO researcher and investigator Mantle has been involved with a wide variety of UFO cases including UFOs caught on camera, alien abductions, a wide variety of UFO sightings, hoaxes and assisting in the analysis of debris from an alleged UFO crash. Most of his investigations have of course been in the UK but he has also been involved in UFO cases from Hungary, Australia, Russia, China and Cyprus. He is probably best known for his long running investigation into the Alien Autopsy Film hoax and the Pascagoula, Mississippi, alien abduction. He is the author of a number of books some of which have been published in a variety of languages. This book sees the author delve into many of the cases he has been involved with and most of them in book form for the first time. The book is also fully illustrated with photos, artwork, maps, newspaper cuttings and official documentation. UFO REFLECTIONS is just that, a reflection on some of the work by Philip Mantle.

Sifting through hundreds of historical and government documents, interviewing multitudes of participants, and tracking countless leads, a former army officer, trained as an intelligence officer, presents a case for government incompetence and, potentially, malfeasance. Shining a harsh light on the government and its secrets, The Government UFO Files: The Conspiracy of Cover-Up investigates what the government knows about encounters with UFOs, alien life, and mysterious activities. The government has long collected information and assembled files on unidentified objects, extraterrestrial encounters, and strange convergences in the skies, but with new government secrets constantly being revealed (including finally admitting the existence of Area 51) is it too much to believe that it is hiding important information on close encounters, UFOs, and alien life? Combing FBI, FAA, and other government files, this revealing book thoroughly examined nearly 100 sightings and other occurrences, including ... Alien abductions and encounters Foo Fighters Silver Disks, Ghost Rockets, and Fireballs The SETI search for extraterrestrial life And much, much more The Government UFO Files sorts through the information, sources, and it lets you decide whether the government is being deliberately misleading or whether the conspiracy theories have gotten out of control.

THE PROVOCATIVE BESTSELLER--THE MOST RIVETING ACCOUNT EVER PUBLISHED ON ALIEN ABDUCTION PULITZER PRIZE-WINNER John E. Mack, M.D. "Fascinating, suggestive, and even inspiring." --The New York Times Book Review "A TRANSCENDENT, LANDMARK WORK...An extraordinarily rich and strange mind-expanding book.--Boston Herald When respected Harvard psychiatrist John E. Mack, M.D., first published these astonishing results of four years of intensive research and investigation into alien abduction, he unleashed a firestorm of controversy. Now, in this paperback edition, Mack answers his critics, both believers and skeptics. Mack focuses on thirteen ordinary Americans (from nearly one hundred case studies) who tell dramatic, inspiring, and remarkably similar stories: repeated visits from large-eyed beings, mysterious machines, telepathy, invasive medical procedures, hours missing from their lives, and startling messages about the future.... "Provocative...This book is a challenge to any reader. It raises questions about how we live on this planet and with each other that the Western mind and culture will not be able to ignore for too much longer. It also raises questions about the nature of reality; of time, space, energy and the true nature of humanness. It opens the door to a very serious redefinition of life as we know it." --Los Angeles Times Book Review "Strange and disturbing...Something is powering this rash of abduction claims, making it worth the kind of serious investigation Mack presents here.--San Francisco Chronicle "A groundbreaking study...Credible and thought-provoking." --Publishers Weekly A FEATURED SELECTION OF THE LITERARY GUILD

What's really behind Americans' persistent belief in alien abductions? Since its emergence in the 1960s, belief in alien abduction has saturated popular culture, with the ubiquitous image of the almond-eyed alien appearing on everything from bumper stickers to bars of soap. Drawing on interviews with alleged abductees from the New York area, Bridget Brown suggests a new way for people to think about the alien phenomenon, one that is concerned not with establishing whether aliens actually exist, but with understanding what belief in aliens in America may tell us about our changing understanding of ourselves and our place in the world. They Know Us Better Than We Know Ourselves looks at how the belief in abduction by extraterrestrials is constituted by and through popular discourse and the images provided by print, film, and television. Brown contends that the abduction phenomenon is symptomatic of a period during which people have come to feel increasingly divested of the ability to know what is real or true about themselves and the world in which they live. The alien abduction phenomenon helps us think about how people who feel left out create their own stories and fashion truths that square with their own experience of the world.
