Results are presented on the production of K{sub s}°, [Lambda] and [gamma] and [gamma] in 100 GeV/c [pi]−p interactions in the 30-inch hydrogen bubble chamber at NAL. The cross sections for the production of [pi]°, K{sub s}°, [Lambda] and {bar {Lambda}} are derived and compared with those produced in other reactions as functions of the energy. The average number of [pi]° produced per collision is the same as in 100 GeV/c pp reactions.

The K0s is the neutral strange particle due to the presence of strange quark content. These strange particles are generally produced in strong interaction and decay through weak interaction. Using the DPMJET hadron production model, p+p interactions was simulated using +85GeV/c beam energy through the Time Projection Chamber. This K0s particles were reconstructed using the V0-Finder algorithm and the efficiency of this algorithm was 40%. All the correction/Efficiencies were determined using the DPMJET model. In the present work, K0s production cross-section in bins of pt2 using Proton-Proton interactions at 85 GeV/c energy using DPMJET model was studied. This analysis and results will be used for data analysis at MIPP experiment at Fermilab.

Neutral decays and [gamma] conversions have been analyzed in an exposure of the NAL 30 hydrogen bubble chamber to 205 GeV/c pions. This paper presents preliminary results on inclusive cross sections for the production of [Upsilon]'s, K{sub s}°'s, [Lambda]°'s and {bar {Lambda}}°'s by 205 GeV/c [pi]−p interactions. The experiment was done in the NAL 30 hydrogen bubble chamber. Six hundred and sixty-four neutral decays (or conversions) found in a scan of 3058 [pi]−p interactions were measured. During measurement, three percent of these events were rejected as not pointing to the primary vertex. Another 29% were discarded by a fiducial volume cut on the neutral vertex.
