Garwood, President of the Texas Association, jointly presiding. The proceedings were opened by an invocation of divine blessing by Rev. Jaa. Thomas, of Texarkana, Ark. President Stayton introduced to the audience Hon. W. H. Arnold, of Texarkana, Ark., Vice-President of the Arkansas Bar Association, who delivered the following address of welcome: Messrs. President and Gentlemen of the Arkansas and Texas Bar Associations: The members of the Bar Associations of Arkansas and Texas embrace a fair representation of the leaders of thought in every community, town and city of these two great commonwealths.
